Gekot Low Life Dual Sporker for 1.0.0

I used to have a build based on Eckalina low life dual spork with RF. I actually enjoy playing it, started it as a farming build but found myself playing it a lot more than my others.

Never had superb equip, my stats were around 100IIQ/400IIR, DPS 2k with RF, 3.8k ES. Springleaf + Heartbreaker main hand and rare off hand shield to max resistances and remove culling strike.

DPS was not that high, low life was a pain for the eyes because of low light radius, and I could do most maps with average speed. Nice build but definitely not OP or super efficient.

After countless nights, infinite docks and lunaris runs, as well as tons of maps and a gazzilion of deaths I was finally able to buy a Shavronne Wrapping's and 5 link it. Spent all my currency and even sold my 2 Andvarius, Divination Flask and my 5L 700ES Vaal Regalia (luckily crafted with a few alcs).

A few days later 1.0.0 came out and was really sad to find out that this is one of the builds more negatively affected with the nerfs. Some kids spend all day bitching in the forums about a build they don't even play and GGG felt they had to do something about it. Never understood why people feel the need to choose what or where I get to play. I sincerely expected more from GGG, but oh well...

The only thing i could read on the patch notes which could benefit us is the notable passive that makes Light Radius based on ES instead of life.

Really, i liked this build as long as i could, but the odds are it has come to an end.

Or, at very least, there will be no way to get it on par to what it's now

One huge advantage (at least for me) is the Arcane Vision passive. Low light was one of the things that annoyed me the most.

Cast time of totems improved a lot, it's possible (but not recommended) to skip fast cast now, I switch it with IIR until I'm able to 6L the chest.

Can't think of anything else that benefits us Sporkers.


The build

RF is out of the question now, can't think of a way to make it work, even if it's possible don't think it would be efficient.

I removed the Vitality aura, it's not needed anyway at least for RF. Using Discipline with Blood Magic, tweaked the aura nodes to make it use 99% of life. Clarity and Purity in Mana with Reduced Mana.

I skip Zealot's Oath now, it's not a must IMO without RF. The drawback is that maps with chaos damage over time are a problem now.

My passive skill tree at level 83 after a few respecs. Please help me improve it, all suggestions are welcome.

It's still possible to play as a Sporker if you like it. I have a lot of room for improvement in mine, starting with a decent DPS wand and maybe switching to Maligaro's gloves.

I'm still trying to get a feel for the new balance between IIQ and IIR. MF builds are less required now, even with 400+ IIR (with flask) the ground is mostly filled with whites and blues. I find a lot less rares and uniques now.

You can still do most maps, only slower. The DPS is lower now but I never had a huge one anyway.

Feel free to try it out, if you are like me and like to play a solo Sporker for a few hours, after a full day at work and the children asleep :).

Would love to get feedback and specially ideas on how to improve it. Also let me know if I forgot anything or if you have any questions.

A Problem im having is running maps with added chaos damage per second... You need zelots oath with life regen? or is chaos maps a no go?

Only mods I don't run now are Blood Magic, no mana regen and Chaos damage.
Considering chaos dmg, if you add Vitality + ZO? I think you will be fine. Glad you took all 3 totem big nodes. I will try to do that too. I 'm wondering if they disserve that more rather than, critical chance and/or multiplyer.

I also would like to know what kind of DPS you get with this tree, I tried first going that way grabbing a few % life regen but lost big time in DPS...
I respec from dual spork totem to firestorm totem/fireball with autocast firestorm/curse. But my dps is low per spark since rf is no longer. dps was 900 per hit(without crits). For the gear,I moved from mf to semi mf since I got bored on spork. And I'm sure that there are others out there that has higher dps than mine.

I have 6.6k es running 5 auras(haste,purity,clarity,discipline,vitality). Can also add tempest shield if I feel like doing it. Just remember to recast your auras when entering a new area/instance. Thats the reason why I have 1 hybrid flask.
