Increased Duration is the only thing that works, and if you can spare the socket, do that. Doesn't help a lot, but why not.

As for when did I start? Once I got enough mana regen - I think it was about level 30, in my case.

is Goldnyucks really nessecary? because even at 40 now, I dont' even have close to enough mana regen to sustain arctic armour but maybe it's because my reduced mana gem hasn't been leveled enough?

Reduced Mana doesn't work on Arctic Armor, but it does work on Auras, giving you more spare mana.
Could you link your build and gear? Because with 120% from Nodes + Clarity, you shouldn't have a problem running at least a partially leveled Arctic Armor.

And no, those boots aren't a must, I just hate playing without IIQ/IIR.

Tree looks fine, I suspect you just need more Mana Regen on gear. Get something like for levelling. At some point, once Clarity levels enough, and you have enough mana (certainly by the time you have EB), you'll no longer need it.

Goldwyrm is another option, and it helps you find stuff, too :)

Of course, you can always remove Life Leech from EK for now, or Added Fire. At level 40, neither are a MUST. Putting Reduced Mana on EK instead of one of those would solve any mana issues, and it's just a a temp thing.

Using this build on Dominion and loving it so far. Im level 20 atm and Im already running into issues with having enough stats initially to level up gems and wear gear. Im still a bit noobish at things even though Ive been playing since Open Beta. I only have ~10 chaos worth of orbs in the league atm. What are my best options? Also as someone else mentioned a few pages ago, boss fights kinda suck with EK. Should I be using some other skill for boss fights?

I was using that ammy I linked a second ago for levelling. It helps with the stats problem as well :)

I was using EK for all my fights, and no other skill. If you get good gear, it's enough. When you have shitty gear, it's slower (like any other spell, really). You can level with Spectral Throw until you can handle it better, but it should be enough for anything with semi-decent gear - just don't assume you can wear gear that has no Spell Damage and still deal good damage or have enough mana for a million casts at first. Sure, EK handles that BETTER, but you still need a good amount to do well.

Get something like even at low-levels.

Basically I just wanted to give a little update on my personal progress regarding MoM that might be useful to others in the end.

Well, to me it seems like MoM is pretty useless until your gear is completely awesome. I got my hands on a 6L today and there's no way I can sustain it together with AA if I'm running MoM.

I've got endurance charges up all the time, about 7k armor and 3,2k hp and rares / bosses can still oom me, while the defensive benefits of it aren't too noticable on random trash mobs imo.

It makes me doubt the effectiveness of this keystone a little. Prehaps you all have had a different experience with it? Personally I've specced out of it (again) simply because my lifesteal is more precious than the dmg reduction it gives.

No mana means no casting which very likely could result in a preventable death.
