The lessons we learnt during that time really paid off and resulted in a much stronger item economy.
Thats odd, every single time I've heard someone other then a dev talk about it, they have been under the impression that the economy is garbage now.

You have mentioned that the GGG team plan to release “expansions” every four months. Are these mainly new items/gems or are we talking additional level content to existing acts?
We’re planning to include new gems, Unique items, microtransactions, bug fixes and balance changes in biweekly content patches. The four-monthly expansions will have much larger features (like a revamped trade system or new game modes), and new content like areas and monsters.
Please don't be another shit game company that misuses terms to market your game. You are not going to be releasing "expansions" at all. They are just bigger content patches. By that logic every patch would just be an expansion. Theres a reason the separate terms exist. Don't start abusing them for attention.

We're expecting to post the 1.0.0 patch notes tomorrow. They're gigantic. I have to admit, typing "Path of Exile Version 1.0.0" at the top of the file was a very moving moment for me.
I think this was an exciting and emotional journey for us all. Seeing Path of Exile blossom from fledgling concept to a full-grown, unique, and innovative ARPG title deserves every tear, smile, and joy. Congratulations on 1.0.0 and for all the versions released thereafter!!!

Grinding Gear Games and staff. I have been a gamer since I was about 6 when I had played with ataris and then nintendos later moving to ps1-2 and then of course the amazing move to computer where I played a game we all know and love Diablo 2. Late with it's expansion "Lord of Destruction" it soon became the greatest game I had ever played. Then this little gem popped up called Path of Exile. And man. I have had some fun on your game. Your community grows and grows and I hope it continues to do so because all your hard work and effort over the last 7 years have paid off. You now have one of the greatest games ever to hit the gaming world.
