Saint Vitus: Physical crit ranger guide[Always Updated]

Pure phys mana ranger here, lvl 63 using 7 stack frenzy and SA. So far not gotten any crit Passives, but debating it. I know that's how the dps gets to those insane levels, but crits have to hit to get those dmg numbers so I'm just not sure where I want to go. Does the crit package really take this build to the next level? Are the crit points better than let's say, just putting points into the raw 8% etc dmg nodes?

Hey guys I'm just wondering, approximately how much physical dmg from bow/rings/etc do you need in order to see a significant DPS boost from using items such as the Broadstroke Quiver. I have one myself and I was testing with a 76-197 bow (decent attack for a mid-level bow) and by switching quivers I see absolutely no damage increase at all (DPS for frenzy only changed in the 10s)

You must have some crazy weapon and quality gems. I reckon that if you use Hatred aura and your Frenzy would be supported by Added Fire Damage, you would already get to 13k. Any aura or support gem that is adding % of physical damage is absolutely amazing for pure physical builds.

I currently run Frenzy+Added fire damage+Faster attacks+Increased Critical Damage+Faster projectiles with great results. I would love to replace Faster proj. with Increased critical strikes but I just cant roll 2 blue 1 red sockets on my 5L pure evasion chest.

I need some advise.. I rolled this armor yesterday, and I can't really decide if it good enough to use, or if I should reroll it..



If I equip this armor, my total Fire Resistance gets to 95%, my Cold Resistance gets to 89% and my Lightning Resistance gets to about 60%.. Chaos Resistance is still at -48% :(
If I where this armor, I could remove some Fire/Cold Resistance nodes, which I could use in Crit nodes instead.

I know that most of my gear is crap, but I don't have any luck finding ranger gear at all..

Another thing I'd like to know is.. How do you guys get enough Intelligence to be able to use Intelligence based Support gems (Crit Chance/Damage and Concentrated Effect)? At this moment I only have 59 Intelligence which isn't enough to level these gems :(

It's a decent quiver. With physical modifier instead of fire and 10% ias it would be exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm using LG right now, and pretty much all of my gems are 20% quality. I don't really wanna use support gems or auras with elemental damage, I know its a great dps boost but I want to stay as much pure physical as I can. If I get my hands on 5L-6L LG I would probably use Faster Projectiles for extra 19% dmg and 10% ias.

The chest is missing evasion % and life but, instead of rerolling it with such a high resistance I would simply exalt it twice.

I am currently lvl 63 but i only have 600 dps unbuffed. I guess its my gear since i have followed this guide. But if it isn't, what is it?

i just wonder where you all get your accuravy from.. i just equiped rings with +300 accu + increase acuracy gem some passives and io got only 91% chance to hit....when i watch your equip + skills you must have a below 80%

Im using Split arrow with chain at the moment. What are some opinions on Pierce (plus the passive) vs chain with SA? Baron I know you use pierce.
