Saint Vitus: Physical crit ranger guide[Always Updated]

Ok so as i posted yesterday, im struggling a bit with my dps. Then a good idea struck. Ranged attack totem. So here's what i run and my dps has gone up CONSIDERABLY:

Frenzy - Faster attacks, Faster projectiles, Increased critical damage
Rain of arrows - Faster attacks, Faster projectiles, Increased critical strikes
Ranged attack totem - Faster attacks, Rain of arrows, Concentrated effect

Considering i always run maps with 1 more person who is able to tank it up a bit, this has helped us a great ton. So for future reference guys - 4L Ranged totem is good, don't neglect to use it.

you need mana/life leech so bad on those accessories.

I do. I realized I can handle solo farming Fellshrine Ruins so that's what I'm doing right now. Slowly upgrading my gear and exp farming

I wonder why do you have ICD rather than ICS support gem in blue slot? Does ICD produce higher damage than ICS? I always though that crit chance being rather low, it is more beneficial to increase the chance rather than the damage.

On different topic..I have found something strange when playing with Frenzy support setup.

I currently run Frenzy with following support:Added Fire damage, Increased Critical Strikes, Mana Leech setup. I tried to switch Added Fire damage to Faster Attacks (found 7% quality one, leveled it to lvl14).

Unbuffed, no Frenzy stacks, no auras, the switch produced marginaly higher DPS on Frenzy. However, when I was fully buffed with Hatred, Haste aura and 7 stacks of Frenzy, listed DPS of Frenzy with Faster Attacks was 10% lower than the original one with Added Fire damage.
Does this imply there are some sort of diminishing returns on attack speed?

Where should I go from here Victor?


Rush straight for RT (to not get killed by reflect in Cruel) or can I still opt for damagenodes like Greater Impact or defensive nodes like Reflexes? I'm playing HC, a3 normal still.

I suggest you slowly go for RT now, as in go to middle take iron grip,then take mana flows, take the 18% rez and the life nodes from there 8/8/12%s then RT then continue with the other ones.

i think you will manage, just try to avoid reflect mbos before you get RT, and try to work your way there as early as you can, when you feel like youre doing ok just slap points towards it.
