[ARCADE World]-- Items Revenge League ( edit)

Since they have already announced alternate PvP play modes in 1.0, I'd play those before pretending that we need your suggestion to alleviate the boredom of normal play.

Nah i don't have those, if i had i would suggest the following :

MONSTERS REVENGE League : Where you can play with any monster providing you can capture it and put in a special place in Wraeclast and be able to gather the components for the summoning ritual.
Or Play as one of your friend items, you can control his axe, maybe another player would control his running speed ( boots).. in a dynamic co op fighting adventure.

Hi. New stuff : Everything is about Weapons and items fightings as "pets fighting"

1)What i would enjoy really is the fact you have to make an effort to play this little arcade pet battles. I am seeing it happening only on legacy leagues, the player has to do some specific things like gathering items :

-If he wants to summon a Saintly Chainmail, you will have to gather all previous (lower level required) ARMOR+/ES- chests, if you want to summon a blue saintly then all of the other chests must be blue, same for rare or unique..
(So if you want to summon a STORM CLOUD unique bow, you will have to gather : QUill rain + silverbranch)

=> I don't like this idea, because it becomes tedious to get highest level uniques, and what i want in an arcade world/arena is a fast and quick grind : something different from the actual game. And it requires a little bit of work and time to code i think.

- Easier : If you want to summon an item, you will have to gather some weird items, similar to Albino Rhoa Feathers. They would drop from specific monsters or randomly
Using ZZ of those items => Allow you so summon an item with ZZ level, if it's a unique it should require maybe 2xZZ of that item or simply ZZ+2 to make it really simple.

2) TO be able to summon the items in the arena/colosseum where "pet battle" could occur, you will have to talk with a very weird/mysterious npc that you can find in game or just in town( hidden and difficult to reach but still in town ) if he is in town, then only a specific town and specific difficulty (sarn merc?), he would either :

- Talk to you about the mysterious place, ( where you can go and do the steps to summon your item) and guide you by giving you hints about what items should be used in the device/receptacle.

- Or, allow you to enter the arena + the place where you have to work / prepare pets / summon them. Just by talking to him;

There might be levels, and stats : number of wins/loses.
There might be rewards within this little game, like :
- Being able to use rares/uniques/(or : ****)
- Obtaining the previlege of playing against higher levels
- Raising the rolls of your item ( if the item is not perfect when introduced to the arena)

Rewards obtained by winning and conquering this little arcade arena in game = none.
It's just meant for fun. But if you have another idea, welcome:)

3)Fights

I suggest being able to summon only 3 items at the same time, at least 1 weapon and 1 piece of gear:

a 1 weapon + 2 pieces of gear(armor/helmet..)
b 2x weapons + 1 piece of gear ( Boots/helmet.. )
c Only 1 item ( and one of the early rewards i was talking about would be obtaining the ability to to summon more than 1 item)

and stats/attributes :

- There should be a blank body with inherent attributes, like +100 life, 20% ele res
- Each item use its own attributes, a voltaxic rift can shock with chaos dmg and does not suffer from reflect ( too bad we don't have reflect items to balance the battle)
- Final "pet" attributes = Inherent blank body attributes + item(s) attributes

You must see only your weapon, no "body" is shown.

A voltaxic rift as main weapon + Thunderfist unique gloves = more dps. (example) Many combinations can be made

The fight is going to be on a first person shooter angle or on a fixed very close zoom angle.
You can escape hits and try to kill your opponent. Problem : Ranged vs melee balance, my suggesion : Only melee vs melee and ranged vs ranged. ( axe vs axe/bow vs bow )

Much easier to do, replace all the words : "summon" with (turn an item into a card..)

The fight can be just cards fighting one against each other

Why is this good ?

1. Because it will allow you, GGG, to learn how to make a complement to poe or maybe another game, with only little items a less expanded and complicated stuff like in poe ( they can make it a grinding thing if they want), that complement to poe is : a card game maybe / a fighting game or anything..

2. it's fun! ( and allow the player to separate from the harsh world that is Wraeclast)

A revenge recipe is the only way to give your item (a VOLTAXIC RIFT bow ?), a chance to live by himself and prove his aptitudes. Aren't you aware of their misery ? We will free ourselves, it's a matter of time!

What if we had a league where items could express themselves, each player can summon an item using that special recipe, and of course the recipe needs a lot of mysterious components that can be found throughout your journey in Wraeclast as a normal player.

You will be able to play with that item in a first person shooter angle, you can compete with other player's items.
Throughout your journey as an item, you can find gear and animate it be on your side, i am thinking about a nice quiver as an example..

Everyone start with one single item, but everyone can kill monsters in wraeclast playing with item as your main character on that league, any drops can be used to help you fight against others in a dynamic item pvp world.

So what i am suggesting in the end is a league or an arena where you can control an item as your main character. You can do :
WvW : Weapon VS Weapon ( even chests and stuff so it's ivi item vs item i guess )
WvE : Weapon VS everyone ( monsters in wraeclast )

It would be a nice FAST ENJOYEMENT in poe, DIABLO offered some funny things like the cow area, poe can *release* a little.
It might even be something hidden in the game, no need to put it as an official league..
Your stats are the item stats ONLY! You can get some by animating another piece like a quiver ( if bow) and get more stats.

Final note : this idea was inspired by the new skill : animate guardian.

Despite the fact Saffel's shield is using Endurance charge on stun it can't compete against all these 3 frenzy chargers ( sword+axe+wand)


1handers are doing critical strikes, saffel's is almost dead, perandus has ripped, Aegis go rage mode :


AND then :


All attacks are blocked, aegis protect saffel's when saffel's kills each 1H one by one( use immortal call with its endurance charges, and it has high elemental resists against ele hits anyway )
But Saffel's shield dies!
A helmet comes to help the shields :


Shields won!
