(Oct 14) Three-hour Hardcore Ladder Race

I've never entered an event before, but I have always wanted to. So I'm definitely going to be entering tomorrow.

If this is your first race I'd strongly recommend watching something like Panda's 3hr race video; it seems like every race people go in without really knowing what to do / how to run a race and get upset/confused when their still level 6 and everyone else is progressing onto ACT 2.

If this is your first race ever (and you also maybe have no experiences in playing hardcore mode), I suggest to make a trial with your favorite build, with focus on getting forward. Trying to copy someone else's playstyle (or even char/build) may not fit your own 'world' - but of course it can be useful to see what tasks can be optimized with good preparation/knowing.

EDIT: eventually got back in using different servers singapore america and managed to get to 25. could have gotten to higher levels if i hadn't dc/ed but still, not bad.
