[3.0] How to Flicker. Two Handed Weapon Edition!
" Great...lol...you sound like me. Besides me getting a lucky break 2 days ago...someone's bot accidentally gave me 540c for 5c...his bot thought I was giving him exalts for some reason. I was trying to trade him 5 of my chaos for 8 of his scourings...but..."THANK YOU LORD AND SAVIOR FOR MAKING PEOPLE LAZY AT TRADING!"... Got me some small needed upgrades and switched out my Atziri's Promise for a Sins Rebirth... |

" Curious then, are you just using Blood Rage to sustain Frenzy Charges? Because the reason I was using Poacher's Mark when I was using Flicker Strike wasn't for the mana that much but for the 50-60%(Mark+Rage) Chance to gain frenzy charges. Anytime I forgot to cast Blood Rage it usually(not always though) became noticeable that I didn't have it casted anymore because I'd run out of charges on normal monsters. And then also what are you using to generate Endurance Charges? This isn't as important of a question since there are so many way to generate them without Enduring Cry. My favorite but most expensive and haven't tried yet is Red Dream(I love the idea of all the different dreams...to bad they are gonna become extremely rare after this league now). I'd love the option of using punishment but I refuse to do Enduring Cry because I know I will forget to cast it so my CwDT+IC will only last for...what... 0.2-0.4 seconds(whatever the default/no charges is)? As for dual curse, if you can still have all your other resistances up high enough then of course dual curse would be better/awesome. If you do manage to pull it all off somehow. Definitely let us(or at least me) know. P.S. Is that damage with or without flasks/Vaal Auras/buffs popped? Last edited by arokace#7275 on Apr 9, 2017, 2:42:44 AM

" Ya, this damage is with Flask + Frenzy + Hatred + Punishment + Onslaught and etc. I used pathofbuilding (its really easy to use, you can import your character and tweak some equips/skills) to simulate this damage, if you want to import my build (its not "perfect", just created so i can copy using realistic equips) use this code:

I dont know if its better to use kaom + enfeblee + punishment (Only for end-game bosses, for farming normal maps (t10~t14) i would use Vulnerability + Punishment) or try to use endurance charges, because you cant generate endurance charges in boss at all times and for cleaning trash mobs i think we have enought defense (maybe drop quicksilver for basalt). |
|
Ok guys i think that you are missing something very important when it comes to Punishment. Punishment gives you attack speed and melee damage when a cursed monsters hits you. Again - not when you hit a cursed monster, but when you take a hit from a cursed monster. That makes it extremely unreliable and honestly - a bit useless.

" That would probably explain why I wasn't even leveling it then...Been awhile since I had even looked at it. |

I just got my disfavour axe and im playing as a raider. Do you think raider is better than duelist? Which one is better for flicker? Cyclone? I got both a kitavas and disfavour now with cospris will. Take a look at profile. Would like the help and any suggestions too. Thank you

" IMO if you are raider I'd go Ghost Reaver/Vaal Pact/ES version of the build personally at least. And as raider you have the option of going full on Meta...ie HOWA + everything else I said above(my friends used spectral throw though). As for the axes. I mean Disfavour is the better of the two in all situations I can think of(besides of hearing once that Kitava apparently is a build maker, as in it is required for whatever build they were talking about to work). As for flicker vs cyclone...mmm...they're kind of hard to compare since 2 of the gems you use with flicker have no effect on cyclone. Flicker(as KorgothBG guide says) adds innate ability to dodge or whatever...since you are never in the same place for longer than .2 seconds. So it is hard to say for sure, they are both gonna do sufficient damage and will take you to end game(and beat it obviously). The guide is proof that flicker works and as for cyclone just 2 leagues ago I knew my friends were running it and they only run meta/top builds(I am trying to say they're lame asses lol). |
|
Slayer is definitely better for flicker strike. For cyclone i prefer Raider because of the movement speed which directly correlates to higher clear speed. Both Kitava and Disfavor are really nice, so it depends on the rolls, but with perfect rolls i'd say that disfavor is a bit better.

Thank you for the posts guys!
Update- I am leveling a slayer now and going to build EQ or Cyclone with the disfavour axe. The problem with flicker is the allies cant die mod is annoying, parties for maps, if you lose frenzy/starting them up, bosses, and seizures. Overall, I think flicker is the best character I have ever made for breaches. It clears them like no other Personal testing/IMO: Raiders- Better than slayer for any phys ele conversion gems. Ngamahu cyclone is perfect because of movespeed with frenzies on cyclone as well. Frost blades, static strike etc works well. Slayer- Between Juggernaut tide breaker and Slayer as best uber izaro farmers(non-CI). Still can clear end game content and better for full phys builds than raiders. TLDR: Thank you for posts on raider vs. slayer. Basically anything phys -> ele go raider. Culling, leech, AoE, Pure phys, bleed, poison go slayer. Totems, Vaal Pact, typically larger health pool go berserker. Last edited by clandestinehp#1801 on Apr 20, 2017, 3:17:41 PM

Have you guys messed with bloodlust support gem since the disfavour causes bleeds on hit? What about the new gloves in 2.6? It would give more damage than spiked gloves but less health and resistances.
