[1.0.3] Vaine's Blood Magic & Critical Frenzy/LA Build

Hey,


thank your for your build i tried out that ranger and now he is 62... but iam not sure if he is lategame possible...

actually i do ~7k with frenzy and hatred and 1k with LA

thats my gear.

will aim for Maligaro gloves and what you thinking about Rat's nest? isn't that a great helm for that build?


but i got huge resi problems... all about 20% -.-


will try to get some all res rings.

and you dont think it is better to take the crit dmg multiplier nodes at the right with heartseeker?

you will get 70% crit dmg multiplier with only 4 points...

and why you use wrath aura instead of hatred? does it way more dmg?

I've been following it since 1.0.2, as i got a tree respec, and was looking for a new build

There's one thing i don't get, why do you use "Elemental weapon damage" support gem for Frenzy in your weapon sockets? Frenzy doesn't give elemental damage, but physical damage, so it wont do anything unless your weapon itself gives elemental damage? Or am i mistaken?

His weapon in fact does elemental damage through Wrath and Hatred, and on top he has alot of +ele damage on Rings and his Amulett. You can get even more elemental damage on the Quiver and on Gloves. Ok, time to give some feedback myself. I've been following the general idea of this build (7 Frenzy Charges+BM Gem) for my own Ranger and it works out pretty well for me so far. Modified quite some aspects of the build to fit my own needs, so i'm currently running these passives:



Modifications:

1. Took the additional Power Charge as i'm using Power Charge on Crit.
2. Heart of Oak instead of Golem's blood for the moment - will get Golem's Blood next. That said, the ability to avoid stun is GREAT. Wouldn't wanna miss that one.
3. Went towards Talons of Murder and took some nodes there. Although it's correct that projectile damage is superior, the projectile damage nodes are too far off the rest of the route for my taste. Also, you get some HP, accuracy rating etc. with the Ralons of Murder circle

Next goals: Golem's blood and the life nodes, finally Revenge of the hunted and some the nodes around it. I feel that Leather and Steel is wasted - with Acrobatics, you have no use for the armour bonus and although the damage nodes up there are nice, i feel like i'd have to pay them with alot of wasted points. Attack speed is great, sure, but has low priority for me.


I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a Harbinger with 300 pDPS and 9 base crit, so i'm able to use Power Charge On Critical which results in a nice 74% crit chance pretty much all the time. Overall my Frenzy damage is at roughly 40k, but that damage is bought with rather bad survivability (only 4k hp) although i'm capped on resists. That said, if you're careful enough there usually is nothing that really kills you except Thorns Shrine or careless playing on reflect maps.

Still room for improvements (especially as i should switch out WEP for Increased Crit Damage) but for the moment i'm quite happy as it is.

One more thing, as most people will have realized: Reflect is a BITCH! On phys reflect maps i work around it by using Blackgleam+Grace. I still have to play careful, but it doesn't kill me. Elemental reflect usually isn't a problem unless the map has -resist - in this case i switch out LA+LMP and use Split Arrow+FA. It's annoying, but it works quite well.
In cases where i encounter a Phys Reflect boss on normal maps, i've
ready. It's still dangerous, but it works.


Thanks again for the build. You might want to enhance the build a little so it's more helpful for new players, but still, great work!

what you doing against phys reflect maps? i got hard problems with it 33% crit and 560% crit dmg multiplier hurts myself a lot,


may does vaal pact helps out? and change life on hit with life leech gem at LA too?

That plus more use of LA, Frenzy mainly too keep up the Frenzy Charges. Also: use Grace and/or
. With Grace activated you should have a 95% chance to dodge your own reflected attacks (unless you're stupid enough to go for a Lioneye's, which is a bad bow just for that reason in my eyes) with the help of Ondar's Guile. In my case this still kills me if i'm not careful, but unless i keep shooting once i took 3-4 hits already, i can leech up and i'm fine. Once again, Blackgleam helps ALOT.
Another thing you could do is switch over your whole equip towards elemental damage with Elemental Hit. Naturally isn't the quickest way to clear maps considering our build, but you won't die at all. But i prefer playing carefully with Grace and Blackgleam.

One thing i want to mention is that Point Blank is SICK. I really recommend this skill, ESPECIALLY when playing solo. In 95% of the cases your damage will be higher. You need high MS to really pull it off, though, but when you have 40% movement speed like me, it's flat out hilarious.

Build updated, new pathing on skill tree resulted in a loss in evasion rating, but vastly better HP and DPS. Requires 16 regrets to respec into.

Bah! Why couldn't you figure this out the same time we had trees reset :p Also, I thought I had the exact same passives as you and it's gonna cost ne 20~ regrets, not 16? Just double checking you didn't forget something. Enjoying the build though. Thanks!
Please, Why you change Passive Tree like that? im level 84 and follow this build till begin play ranger
i just 3,7k hp and 8000 Eva, but clear well 73 map(not try map over 73 yet)
So with more HP, less Eva you can farm map better ?

uh can you explain me how do you have 40 k DPS Frenzy with those items?
