Just logged in to the game, to see the new razer footprints, nice design.

Sad to read so much negative feedback on this MTX or the principle behind it.

I feel more let down by the community than GGG.

Makes me truly sad to see people defending in game advertising. Theres a reason you don't see it in games in general. Every major online game could do it, but 99.9% of them don't. Because its disgusting.

Its just a Microtransaction!!! 1 footprint and u made it a bid deal when it is not. its the same game u all loved and support

I know those select few who spout ... and comment again and again to water down our protests ( yes only protests because we obviosly cant do more ) against this in game advertisement .

It's comments like yours that make me wonder how some people truly function in daily lives and business. It's people like you with your "I'm so fucking smart" attitude that simply ruin communities in games.

If you can't fucking handle in game advertising of this magnitude then well sir.. I'm at a loss for words. If you find this disgusting then I recommend you grow up a bit and get out and see what the real world is about then you can truly see some disgusting things.

PoE is still F2P and will stay that way.

If you don't want to support anymore because of this, it's sad and unjustified. However, there are those of us who will pick up your slack and keep supporting a great company, who are creating a great product.

If any of you have enjoyed your experience with PoE, at any time, you should take a moment and "think" about what GGG has had to go through over the last 5+ years to make it happen.
You should take the time to "think" about how much time and money, it takes to make a video game.

And after all that "thinking", if you still have the urge to make silly comments about your support (and if it will or will not continue), I suggest you take a look at the real world (outside of Wraeclast) and find out what it takes to survive and thrive.

Because it appears that many of you... don't have a clue

All I know is that last night I saw some level 95 standing in Sarn with that cool logo at their feet. I didnt think "oooh I am not gonna support GGG now cause they are selling out"
I thought "Cool foot thingy" --- did a couple circles around them as I gave it the good look.

That was well before I read this post -- and I still think it looks cool. And isnt that all that really matters.

well.. so you say that all other companies dont need money to make a game? funny stuff - they ALL do

so you say that GGG decided to go free to play because they are so keen and nice to gamers that they want to spend their own money and get nothing in return?

so you say that people that decided to support GGG because they were the company that promoted itself (i want to avoid word 'promised') as a 'ethical company' are now bad and ugly because they decide to cut financing because they feel cheated by said company?

Free2Play is a sound business model. used by many and will be used by many others in the future. with pay2win and without it. one of its 'pros' is it gives company/fanbois a shield behind they can hide 'but it is freeeee! dont be an ungrateful twat!'. shield frequently used it seems..

most peple here donated more than full game costs. in fact, GGG gained a bigger percentage of our donation (close to 100% - minus the cost of developing MTX) than most typical companies - you pay 60$ for diablo 3, but only like 30-40 gets to blizz - the rest is consumed by retail and logistic chains. so it isnt that GGG is getting sub-standard $-per player.. maybe they are simply getting less players (desync is a widely known issue same as shit balance - sporkers.. and 'Trading Simulator for the Win')

if there is someone here who should open his mind it is you - GGG are not angels doing us all a favor. they are doing business just like any other company. if this business flops - theyll abandon it cutting loses so fast, that you wont even have time to send them 'wtf' email. this is real world. they plan on making big money on this game, free to play is their selected way of doing that. this method does not shield them from criticism. since today they gained some/lots of supporters by avoiding typical business techniques of bending over to advertisers. but this era is over now. hope they calculated it well as trust is a very rare commodity and does not grow back easily
