Spark-N-Arc Build ( a 3 Totem Build) Updated for v1.0.0 (update starts p6 of thread)

I'm not sure if anyone has built, as I call it, a Spark-N-Arc Witch. If they have I'd be interested in checking them out. I was sitting on a witch with a full tree reset for some time now, so I thought I'd try a Spork Build with her. I was following a HC build, the guy is lvl 95, so its a good build. But I found it not conducive with my play style. So I'm building a Spark-N-Arc instead. She is lvl 25 now, and has not had one problem in any area.

The video goes over my gear, skill tree, defense and the Kraityn boss fight. I put on the gloves and helm as soon as I got to town from the strand. The items below were also used in getting to the equipment in the video. My starting boots were blue with 10% run and 6% rarity. They've been sold at the vendor. I am leveling a pierce and fork gem. I'm doubting I'll use the fork, but I'll have it ready incase my build sucks without it...lol...and the special prize I found in my stash (that I TOTALLY forgot about when contemplating this build) is linked below. I'm hoping it will be my endgame armor.

So far it's working pretty well. I'll post progress updates for those interested. Hope you enjoy/enjoyed.

EDIT: forgot to mention, I also switched to Spark as soon as I entered town from the strand.

Just wanted to give a quick update, did Vaal Overlord. No problems, went a little faster than I expected.

At level 31 I will put Arc on a totem. I'll also update my gear.

Both skills are indeed good options to deal large amounts of damage.

However, I'd put Spark on a totem and cast Arc myself. That way you can place the totem right in front of the mobs to shotgun them with sparks, reducing the time it would take for the sparks to reach them should you cast it at a distance.

Since Arc is "insta-hit", you can distract the monsters with minions and spark totem and then blast them from a safe distance.

@ Os_Pirata I was eventually planning on putting the spark on a totem too, wanted to see how the Arc worked out on totem...and sadly is sucks BIG time...so it my never go on a totem...we'll see, I'm leveling a few gems on my weapon swap side so I can test out several things. So spark is most definitely on the totem now, and does pretty well. Thanks for your input!

Update; Character level 36, running 2 Totems. At this point I'll let you in on what I'm planning. I intend on running 3 Totems. Originally I was going to run Spark, Arc and Skeletons on Totems. Although I've built several Witches that I play, the highest a lvl 80 Summoner, I've never made a 2 Totem, let alone a 3 Totem build. But the earlier experience with Arc was disappointing, then I found out what "You can't deal damage with your skills yourself" really meant...so Arc became useless for me to cast. Anyhow, I tried Arc again on a totem, and this time, along with a spark totem, it does pretty well. Arc is supported by LP right now, need to 4 link some stuff or pillage from my other witches. So my end build is looking like 2 spark and 1 Arc Totem with me cursing (sometimes literally...lol) and casting Skeletons.

im happy with ur diary about ur spark arc build. since alot ppl say its not viable

also get urself some zombies instead of skelis so u are noty busy recasting them.

if u want to max dmg output from the skelis . Multi Strike and Chaos Dmg is a pretty decent setup

Thank you for your interest. I didn't know Multi Strike worked with minions, and I am still leveling my Zombie Gem in my boots, wasn't sure if I was going to continue to use them. But that bit of info helps not only for this build, but for my summoner as well. So thank you doubly for that!! Zombies will make a return. I need to get into 4 links though, may have to pillage from my other witches...I'm not sure it's a viable build either, just wanted to give it a try, and having that armor that grants 1 extra Totem excites me a bit...my concerns...maintaining decent Dmg while getting my ES up because the armor is lacking a bit in ES...so we'll see what happens...I probably should have bought a Reduced Mana cost gem or two...but have quite a few leveled up somewhat...trying to hold off till I level into one of my Superior ones...may not be able to though...right now my mana holds up pretty good for the most part...2 magic mobs and a boss or two mixed in stretches it a little thin. Any how, thanks again for your interest!!

I didn't realize you still got the shock chance since you can't do Dmg yourself... (Edit; next post indicates Shock will not work) (EDIT 10/18/13; found out you can still shock, as the tool tip indicates so) interesting to keep in mind, thanks. I pretty much plan on taking most, if not all, of the Lightning and Shock nodes near the Witch. I'm not sure if I'll take the node in the Shadow Tree or not (I knew it was there, my Bow Shadow took it). It depends on weather or not I need to hit the ES nodes with Resist All in that same area.

I was hoping to get to lvl 49 today, but had too many other things to tend to, only got to lvl 47. But I got two videos for you all. The first one is the new Weaver's Nest, Cruel. It was my first time in the new Nest, I had read some forum posts saying things like...it was very hard, almost undoable, tedious...and various other things including people loving the challenge...I loved it!! It was great IMO!! Great Job on the Nest GGG!!!
