Data - Map sustain experiment

In my opinion, the goal of maps was never to be sustained by maps. You will have to farm lower content to build up enough to go on a decent string. I am not sure what people don't understand about this... It is like omg why can't I just farm maps in maps? Well when you hit end game you should expect a grind. There is no way around it. I am fine with the current system.

Running maps to get more maps is still grinding, I don't think anyone expects them to grow on trees.

How much currency did you spend on these maps?

Way too much, used a lot of chaos/scouring (about 60 of each) as well as alch orbs, but i got a nice stash of them, so i should be fine. Now the transmutation and allteration orbs start to flood my stash.

try 45%q with 65+lv maps and post results here. good luck

I think the break even point for 65+ map progression is higher IIQ than for 'not falling out' of map system entirely. Unfortunately I don't have stash full of higher level maps and I save them for runs with a friend so I can't really do that. On the other hand, if the high level maps weren't exclusive enough, they would become just another area to grind like Pyramid or Fellshrine.

I will write down the results anyway, thanks for suggestion. It is quite interesing to see the real numbers that cause certain feel of the game. Definitely more fun than to see angry posts about 'ruined endgame' or quitting without actual feedback, and we see them quite often, don't we.
