Skill Gem Set Enhancements!
Bump!

I think this idea would gain more traction if these enhancements fit in better with the theme of the game. I would suggest that they simply drop as orbs that add permanent enhancements to an item until scoured away. The individual orb bonuses should be accompanied by negatives to make choices harder.
They could have different names so that you have to collect ones that you have not already found to get the next set bonus. For instance: Set Name Kaom's Vengeance Orb Names Kaom's Heart: +20 Hit Points & 10% reduced Energy Sheild Kaom's Will: +2% Physical Damage & 2% reduced accuracy Kaom's Fury: +10% Global Critical Strike & -5 to all Attributes. Set Bonus (2) Melee attacks leach 2% life. (3) Character Size Increased by 10% So on and so forth... At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...

Not sure how my idea doesn't "fit within the theme of the game", could you elaborate?

seems creative, but might need balance
for example: instead of collecting the actual orbs, only shards can drop and you will need 10 shards to assemble an orb also like tuftronic said, make the orbs in the set different so you have to collect different orbs to activate the set bonus besides rarity, the actual effects have to be nerfed a it too |

" I think those two might conflict a bit. If you have 6 different orbs for 6 different aspects, does that mean 36 different shards will drop for a total of 72 new items? That's quite a mess. The reason for not dividing the 6 aspects into different sub-types of aspects is to avoid that item count issue. Collecting shards turns the new item count from 6 to 12, which is fine. I personally don't see the point in collecting shards though, unless you can also get them by selling skill gems to a vendor (instead of a scroll fragment). As for balance, I'm open to any changes, though I'm not convinced they need to be much weaker. Last edited by Novalisk#3583 on Aug 26, 2013, 9:36:26 AM
