[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update

Hey guys, I posted this on the wrong thread.

Is there a way to reduce the loading screen for areas ? maybe some graphic configuration i dont know about ?
3.1 is great, really stable for me so far but the loading screens for each new area sometimes are too long (specially in act 2)

thank you !

Settings textures to medium will speed up things a little.
Also we have report that POM version has faster loading times. (but not me)

Tried that fix already and it doesn't work. It worked when the crash was during the first loading screen (when opening the game for the first time) but it hasn't worked for the few repeatable crashes I've experienced since.

Look into log, if there is a fail in d3dx9_42, then I can't help you (if you are not sure, post the log from that type of crash (pls into [ spoiler ] tags)
Also there is slight possibility you have content.ggpk corrupted.

Thanks to the dev for making this.

My friend has a Mac but doesn't have any special software like wine or anything.

Can anyone tell me what I need to download/install to get this working on his computer?

I will replicate and have a look into the log now.

I not very mac-literate so just out of pure curiosity, what is the problem with a fail in d3dx9_42 and how come it can't be helped?
Not sure about if there's a fail in d3dx9_42 so here's the log.

again wrap_oal. Did some investigation and ...it is related to sound... Well. Possibly workaround would be disabling sound by adding --nosound into EXE flags in wineskin. And I thought that this issue is past.

Thanks for the reply :)

Just had an interesting development... Tried to replicate the crash on my iMac (previous crash was on Macbook Pro) and was unsuccessful. I entered The Cave with no problems at all.

Yep, there is some specific crash which are hard to reproduce. Can you tell what is different on your iMac?
Macbook has these specs
Spoiler
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)

As for any other differences: I've separately downloaded Wine and Winebottler (as well at your client) on the iMac, though I'm not using them when running the PoE client. I'm still just using the 3.1 download and opening it from desktop.

NB: whilst typing this post I've tried re-opening the client on my iMac having shut-down to have my dinner. The client won't open as it says the "pack file has corruption" - I've tried the glsl fix but that's done nothing. I'm now thinking some of these problems may be being caused by something that happened at download/install. I'll try uninstalling the client and re-downloading.
