[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update

Loading times: sorry guys, the game loaded for me after like 5 minutes. Don't know what might be behind it
Just wanted to thank you for all you've done here.
Hard drive failed 4-5 hours into totment/bloodlines opening day so I had to use an old MacBook to get my fix.
Kudos for all your hard work, it's appreciated!
Holy shit... it actually worked after like 10 minutes of loading...

which would be great if it didn't destroy my computer for some reason....

The screen was flickering constantly and you could always see the login screen "branded" into the back of the game. So i thought, ehh, just reset the game, it'll be fine.

Well yeah, i can now always see the login screen in the back of my desktop, even when Path of Exile is closed, and the screen is constantly flickering. i tried reseting, reseting PRAM... im not sure what to do now... didn't expect this kind of repercussions when installing the port...

ok so a couple of hours later the flickering gradually died down, everything is back to normal again. no f**king idea what that was, but i won't dare to open PoE again... pity, i was looking forward to it!
Hello!

I have 2 problems:

1: The loading time is VERY LONG for entering the game.

2: I cannot put the game in full screen. If I try, I get an error message:
Failed resetting Direct3D device object and it freezes. The same thing
happens if I just try to enlarge the screen.

Hey!

First of all I'm really enjoying your port! I tried the latest 4.X version and it went well, but the newest alpha works even better. No more laggs, higher framerate. Now this is where my question is comming from: Is it possible to limit the FPS to 30 again? I know you can (and I do) limit the FPS with vsync, but this still gets my MacBooks fans going on full speed. However since the earlier 4.X version ran at a lower fps the temperature was not an issue. MacBooks fans are really loud so I thought if there was a way to have the latest version of your port with a 30 fps cap I'm probably not the only one interested in using it. Also if there is a way, but you don't have the time to implement it please let me know. I haven't done any porting in some years, but I might look into it for this again.

Thanks a lot for all your effort and a happy new year!

Vsync as far as I know does not work correctly under wine (yet), sorry cannot help there.

And you are not the only one. I always use vsync where I can, but just because the tearings gives me headache...
