So far after playing 5.1 and 4.2.1, i prefer the speed of 5.1, although the text is epileptic fit inducing, which is fun... I have the unfortunate problem however of every time I go to The act 3 last mission on hardcore (dominus) it totally craps out my mac, (mbp 2012 i7 with the cd drive) and I have to download the whole 6gb again as another version as I'm not so clever with getting around it in any other way, a message pops up and it stops getting past the ggg loading screen. any known issues why this happens every time, and is there a way around it?

Hello all, first off would like to thank Julus for this port. Now I have been trying to download the most recent alpha but it always downloads up to about 85MB then the download becomes broken - whether I use a download manager or not, it never finishes the download.
Is there anyone else who could possibly provide a link or some insight? Would really like to try it since its said to be better FPS - the stable version has unplayable combat for me due to FPS drops, I only use this mac port while on my mac at work to do trades and stash sorting etc in town. I have a question from completely another kettle of fish. Is there any chance that we'll see _official_ port finally? It's really cool to have free-to-play game, but actually whenever you look on projects out there (from Kickstarter for instance) they are promoting gaming on Linux and Mac, and here we still have Windows only client + one guy working on unofficial wine-based port. Sorry to say that - it sucks. It's really great job that you're doing unofficial port but I'd expect that people from GGG will come up with well tested, working client for Mac and Linux. If it is an issue why not to put on micro transactions shop some new "item" - support for Mac/Linux version? We would at least see whether people want it...

Hey Julus, I recently found that if i continually press either volume down/up or brightness down/up the flickering completely stops on the alpha it also stabilises the graphics and makes everything much smoother. Do you know why it does this? Would switching to windowed mode help? Any idea how to switch to windowed lol?
Thanks for the Alpha port, I couldn't play at all on the other one, all my skills lagged the game so hard. |

I just got a new 2014 macbook pro 15", basically no other programs on it other than what it came with. It doesn't have the upgraded graphics, just the Intel Iris pro graphics. Would it still be playable? I actually just need to trade, not necessarily playable.
