Thanks for the quick response and taking the time to do this port. I appreciate it.

I left this going for quite a while and nothing happened. I have left it running for over an hour with no change. I am doing this at work and have a very fast connection so I doubt it is the internet connection that is causing the problem.

Again, thanks for the help! Let me know if there is anything else I should try.
Here are my Logs for the crash report

1st Loading screen is slow, give it 5-10 minutes... (depends on your HW configuration)

It loads the game up but the background doesn't load and when I choose my character it gets stuck on a loading screen there. I'll wait for 30 minutes but the game won't ever load.

If the background does not load, make sure the GLSL is enabled (1st post FAQ - steps Game will fail to load with D3ERR_INVALIDCALL).
somethings wrong with your GPU setting

Hi julus,

just dropped to say thanks for your efforts, I'm enjoying PoE on my Macbook Air 11" (the C2D one with the nVidia 320m, Mac OS 10.6.8).

Everything runs real smooth but whenever a new enemy/effect or even worse boss appears everything stutters and becomes really unplayable :(

Anyway I've developed a "safe" strategy to do boss and elites (always staying at max distance and let them use their skills so that they are loaded into memory and the stutters ends) so that works as a workaround for now.

Do you think that upgrading to Mountain Lion or the new Macbook Air with i7 and HD4000 would improve my experience?

thanks again and keep up the good work! ;)

No, this is currently both the Game and OSX bug as well.. better hw or new OSX will not help you.

Are you using some kind of proxy server? Do you have enough free space left (7GB at least) on harddrive ? Allocating resources takes hours only on linux, on mac it should be much faster.
Hello there, i just got a brand new imac 27"
and everything is running fine..
till i runned into docks and started encontering some lag spikes when encountering the rare mobs..just like stated in the page 1-----
Is there any solution to this???

ok think i figured out whats happening and its pretty much a bug on this.
This worked the game is running pretty smooth Now
tried what someone stated in page 129 inside poe.app. With winetricks or something

but this turns of voidbreakers skin and i cant see them.
or some microtrasanctions effects -> like for example i have mark of phonix and i cant see it.

so..any solution again on this ;)?
i know this is an "hack" so we cant expect perfections.
but just stating the bugs so we can fix them!

thank you

No proxy server. It worked the first time I used it...then I had the small window problem and then it started stopping during the checking resources screen. I have over 60 gigs left on my comp so memory is not the problem either. I will take it home and see if I can get it running on my network there,
reinstalled and it fixed the problem
Been testing the new engine which I should release this weekend.

There is some performance gain on AMD, framerate is higher.
And about that lags, well they are still there, but they seems to be shorter.

Also the AMD drivers are fixed in 10.8.3 which does not require ugly speedhack to make game fluid, which means, there will be 2 versions of 4.0.3 and 3.8.2
One for ATI on 10.8.3+Nvidia+Intel HD
and one called ati-legacy for ATI users on 10.6.8 and 10.7.5

the new version will also fix some issues with (not) launching game and double icon in 4.0.X
