Heh, sorry, my bad, I didn't see that you actually wrote 35%.

Thats how much the aura costs now, they reduced the mana reserve an all auras so that new characters can use them early on with out a reduced mana gem.

wow... just wow... this may very well be the worst patch for this build up to date...

I have been playing this build since 1.0 and, man, Rathik, what a fine job you did back then. this build was as much as untouched since back then by any nerfs or "balances", solid as a rock. even the big summoner patch did basically nothing to it, heck it even made it better and gave more room to experiment with. the core of the build, dual curses, triple auras, culling zombies, skeleton bombs, spectre support was just great. and here comes 2.0 and oh boy where do I even start...

spectres: stayed pretty much the same. as is it always was with this build there is enough room to customize them to your needs.
curses: they are quite lousy now. enfeeble, maybe the best thing keeping you and your zombies alive got quite a hit on max lvl. the lowered crit reduce is what makes and breaks it here. the reduced duration on temp chains isn't helping either.
auras: this maybe wont concern newer players but the reduced mana gem change messed up my whole aura setup along with my color slots. my manapool was kind of tight before but is even worse now. good luck to all of you getting lvl 3 enlighten gems, btw...
zombies: they themselves are not the problem, the support gems are. now I can't really tell if the melee splash change is a nerf or a buff (math is hard! pls confirm, you wise mathematicians out there), but multistrike is not what it once was. reduced attack speed (most important) and no increased dmg/lvl? ouch! I took the new minion damage to compensate but there goes the nice IIR/culling on the zombies. my clear speed was never great, but is even worse now.
skelly brotem: again I don't know how the change from less elemental dmg to less added dmg is working out with MI but the thing is: totems only last 8 secs now, again, hitting my lowered mana pool with more casts.

I may sound overly ranty now, but this build was like a good old friend to me over the past years. having not that much time for the game anymore, I still could log on any time, guide my zombies around a bit, find some spectres on the way and have some fun clearing a few maps here and there, even solo.
this patch kinda ruined it for me and I am very sad about this :(

PS: this, by no means what so ever should stop anyone starting out as a summoner from following this build. Rathik still did an amazing job here, trying to save what there is to save with the full matriarch and new players shouldn't even find anything out of the ordinary. if you follow this guide from scratch you should still have the same great experience with a summoner I had over the past years. seriously, thank you for that Rathik, for the most solid summoner build there ever was.

Since Awaking patch, you use Raise Specter + Summon Chaos Golem + Minion Damage + Life Leech

So what specters we should use now and why? I'm still using Evangelist. Any suggest ?

those are still the best defensive option. if you want high damage try the spiders in belly of the beast lvl 1 and 2. they seem to dish out a lot of damage.

perhaps raise spectre + lmp/gmp/faster attacks + minion damage + life leech.

i haven't tested them much yet. not using spectres on my summoner in warbands. maybe some of u who have tested them can write what gems you use and how they perform?

the thing i liked about the belly of the beast spiders is that they run away from danger like when melee attackers close in on them. very good.

Revenant (spiders) are -lightning-projectile-spell

The optimal setup would be:

RS + spell echo + chain + minion damage + 5th light pen + 6th slower proj

I use dual curse enfeeble/temp chains with investment in curse effectiveness. With ball lightning + avatar of fire combo for EE.

With a tanky front line of zombies/golem/animate guardian speced for tank. minion life + minion res + fortify/golen/guardian

Am pretty much breezing through high lv maps atm.
