At lvl 75 i mostly dont even use skelies anymore ,any advice on what gems could i use for a better survivability . at lvl 75 still not tanky enough.

Nop, only life and reju flasks get that suffix.

I use 2 life and 2 hybrid flasks, the hybrid flasks regen my mana and pets hp

I'm 59 and don't really use Skellies. They are ok as a 'get out of jail free' card. For example I used them to help take down (Cruel) Dominus' 'cockroach' form. My skellies don't have MF, so who wants to use them, lol. My skellies are cast using a Spell Totem. As long as an enemy is in its range, it will pump out two skellies every second or two, to my limit, directly on the enemy. It does this without any attention from me, so I can focus on screaming and running around like a small girl.

For survivability, get your Determination and/or Grace auras going, make sure you grab every life node you can, make sure your gear is heavy on life and otherwise appropriate to your level. At some point, good older gear must be retired.

I also use CwDT to produce 2 (lame) skelly defenders (one-hit wonders) and a Decoy totem. The idea is to buy me time to run and quaff.



I will likely replace the skelly and Chance to Flee gems for curses, or something. It works well at lower levels. At upper levels, not so much. Chains or Enfeeble would do nicely.

Pardon my probably noob question, but what is snapshot(ting)?

Read this, so we don't pollute this thread. Search for "snapshot" on these forums. Search Youtube for "path of exile snapshot".

Mad props to Rathik for creating this thread and answering questions for 172 pages. I've had a blast with this build and got it 76 and 80 in nemesis and domination respectively.

The one issue I had is that I was very squishy. How did you deal with this or is it just part of being a summoner?

I am pretty much at end build and I am fairly squishy. Ill be a lot stronger once i get a 800+ ES chest. However, Summoners arent exactly meant to be tanky. Your zombies are used as a human shield essentially. Remember what Rathik said in the first post, "Also keep in mind that your character is not the one that does damage directly.
All your damage comes from your minions. If you want to do damage by your self then this is not the build for you. " Meaning that since you're not attacking directly, you play style should be evasion based, trying to avoid major attacks or hiding behind zombies. If you're dying a lot with this build, i suggest you may need better gear (not too expensive to get) or simply change your play style.

First I would like to say thank you for this guide. I don't know if you're still updating it but it works wonders for me! I'm currently in hardcore level 58 and I have 9 zombies 3 spectres and 12 skeles. I've solod every boss/zone with ease but I'm only to act 2 in merciless. I currently do about 800 DPS with ek and half the time I clear packs before my minions get there. When my minions get to them their DPS is crazy. Also, I've read about 16 pages of the discussion so far and no one has mentioned using the poison bomb throwers from the sewers. I know you said you don't like going out of the way for them but these guys are seriously amazing for leveling. Lived used them since hitting cruel sewers and have had almost 0 trouble keeping them alive.they stay almost out of screen range from the danger and are still able to throw bombs. Having 3 practically fills my screen with poison gas. The only trouble I've had keeping them alive was piety/Dom but they did so much DPS before they died it didn't matter. As far as leveling I was able to get almost all max rolls on the uniques for cheap(for some reason some just bought my meginords for 20C so I had to sell it) but I used ek the whole time. I had to switch to at iris foible for mana issues but now its fine

Picked poe back up over the past few days. I decided to do a self found SMN and used this guide as an outline of where i'd be heading in the skill tree. I noticed in your guide you reccomend not leveling with this spec, I haven't had any issues at all since I've startedi and my gear is pretty shit. Here's a video of me farming a bit before doing Dom on cruel.

Just died lvl80 by my own fault, forgot to put my cable in (still on wifi) a desync'd like fu XD
Can't wait for the new league to start and build a summoner again.
