Updated: Guild Window Suggestions with 12 Images, ETC. Since Guilds Are Here Now

To the developers of GGG,

Will we see some of these features and tabs in the future?

12/25/2013: I am back after several months, and whoa! I never expected PoE to truly have Guild support. Furthermore, since Guild Support is no longer something to hope for, tell me what you guys think about GGG adding some of these features as shown in this thread.

I think the Guild system how it is now is just testing the waters to see how much people like the feature. However, with your support, perhaps we will see some of these features someday.

Thank you.

IF the Art Developers of GGG are viewing this, it is important everything be read carefully. This is a clutter-free, innovative, user-friendly Guild Window UI.

Note: Very minor changes have been made. The additional images are mostly Buttons with explanations.

Thank You for your time.

Update: Guild Chat now added to the Chat Window in my other Thread.

This has been a week in the making. You want groundbreaking? You got it.

Only the awesome art developers at GGG can bring this to life in-game. (I hope you guys do)

FEATURES - All In a Single Window/Panel:

Open to see all 20 Features and reasons why this window is a must-have:

Note: IF you make a Guild in any of the Leagues, let's say Onslaught, your Guild would still be accessible if you went on Standard or Anarchy. The only thing that would change in the 'Exile Tab' is your Flag Color indicating what difficulty you're in.

1. Upon making a Guild, the ability to give your Guild a name.
2. Upon making a Guild, the ability to make a Guild Tag.
3. Upon making a Guild, the ability to choose your own Guild Icon (changeable any time)
4. To reduce clutter, the ability to scroll through sections via through Scroll Bars.

Possible Money Idea (to help support PoE) There could be Microtransactions to make special Guild Icons available in the Shop only Guild Leaders can purchase! Otherwise, basic ones will be available to those who choose not to buy Guild Icons from the Shop.

5. The 'Guild Hall' Button (view the screenshots) will take Guild Members to an area via a private place for players to gather, organize PvP Battles (later on,) chat, trade, etc. You could even add NPCs and the Stash box in the Guild Hall.

Note: Guild Halls are only accessible when in towns. Guild Halls would not be accessible if you're in battleground areas, and therefore, the 'Guild Hall' Button would be grayed out until a player goes to town.

6. 4 unique Guild Tabs: Exiles / Alliance(s) / Announcements / Guest
7. Once your Guild is created, the Guild Leader has the ability to Promote, Demote or Kick members from the Guild.
8. Once your Guild has Allies in your Alliance, a Guild's Alliance Leader has the ability to Kick Allies they don't want in the Alliance.
9. If your Alliance isn't making it very well, you as an Alliance Leader has the ability to merge with another Guild Leader's Alliance, granted their Alliance has enough room. The Alliance Leader inviting you would need everyone's Guild name in your Alliance to invite everyone.
10. Once your Guild has members, members can leave a Guild at any time.
11. The ability to invite up to 50 members (changeable)
12. A 'Sort By' button where you can sort members in a Guild by Level or Alphabetical Order.
13. The ability to Kick or Promote members to Assistants, or Demote an Assistant back to a regular member. These actions can be done by doing a Right-Click on member avatars.
14. The ability to send Guild invites (for recruiting) or Guest Invites (temporary stay)
15. If Guest invites are sent to you, you can join other people's Guild in the 'Guest Tab.' After several hours, your Guest Invite expires.
16. For 4 Chaos Orbs (changeable) the ability to invite other Alliances (10 maximum)
17. Notifies the Guild Leader an Alliance Invite was sent in the 'Exiles Tab.'
18. In the 'Alliance Tab,' the ability to write brief messages for all Allies to see be it you want people to join up with you on boss fights, journeying, or organized PvP (when improved)
19. In the 'Announcements Tab,' the ability to write daily messages all Guild Members can see.
20. In the 'Announcements Tab,' there is a 'Member History' feature that notifies the Guild Leader and all Guild Members on: who is NEW to the Guild, who got kicked out, or who left.

10, Full-Sized High Quality UI Layout Images (Blueprints in PNG Format)

IF you are wondering: The Fonts I used in Photoshop were AR JULIAN and Calibri with a Black Stroke around the text. It was the closest I could find to what PoE uses.

If you've never made a Guild before, this window would show up by pressing Hotkey G:
Open to see the Guild Creation Window:

Note: View the 'Open to see the Alliance(s) Tab' Spoiler to get an idea for the icons.

When you've given your Guild a Guild Tag, this is what would be seen on all players:
Spoiler

If your Guild has been created without any members in it yet, the above Screenshot turns into:
Open to see the Exiles Tab when a Guild is empty or new:

Otherwise, after the Guild Leader gets Guild Members (within the same window,) the above screenshot turns into:
Open to see the Exiles Tab:

Note 1: If a Guild supports a maximum of 50 Guild Members, the screenshot doesn't imply there are 25 members. It just shows how many are Online within how many joined the Guild.

Note 2: Those little X buttons are for if a Guild Member wants to leave the Guild. A pop up message asking if members are sure they want to leave a Guild would also help. Leaving a Guild can also be done by doing a Right-Click on your avatar.

However, if the Guild Leader or Members switch Leagues, the above screenshot turns into:
Open to see the Exiles Tab with Guild Members in different Leagues:

Note: If a player made their Guild in Onslaught, their Guild would still be accessible if they changed Leagues. The only thing that changes is their Flag Color, indicating what league they are playing in.

Other Flag Colors for new leagues like a possible 'Cut-Throat League' could be added later.

Open to see the Alliance(s) Tab:

Note 1: IF an Alliance Leader were to leave an Alliance without telling any of the allies within an Alliance, the next Guild/Ally in line would be the replacement for the position of 'Alliance Leader,' and so on if that Guild were to leave too. This is not a recommended method for if a Guild Leader were to leave a Guild.

Note 2: For 4 Chaos Orbs, players would be able to invite an ally. This is reasonable considering each ally in an Alliance would have a maximum of up to 25-50 Guild Members.

League Flags: They are not required in the 'Alliance Tab' for reason being members within Guilds can switch difficulties. League Flags only show up and change within the 'Exiles Tab.'

Open to see the Announcements Tab:

Only Guild Leaders and Assistants can EDIT in the Announcements Tab. If you got something you want your Guild Members to know, this is where you would post your messages!

Open to see the Guest Tab:

Guest Invites are temporary and would expire after a couple of hours or so. They allow people who are not part of your Guild to be a Guest in your Guild Hall.

GUILD / ALLIANCE BUTTONS:

When Guild Members go to their Guild Halls and want out, the 'Guild Hall' Button turns into:
Open to see the 'Leave Guild' Button:

When a Guild's Alliance Leader does a Right-Click on an Ally, this would come up:
Open to see Alliance Button Options:

Note: A.L. is short for Alliance Leader.

When a Guild Leader or an Assistant Does a Right-Click on Members, this would come up:
Open to see Member Button Options:

Note: Guild Members who click on other members would not have the ability to Kick, Promote or Demote members.

When Guild Members do a Right-Click on their avatars this would come up:

NOTE: If Guild Leaders try and leave a Guild full of Members, a message would pop up saying they have to Promote a Guild Member to be the Guild Leader. Otherwise, if a Guild Leader's Guild is empty, they can go ahead and leave the Guild. Then, if they choose to make a new one, they can.

Open to see the Leave Guild Option:

Everyone's thoughts are welcome.

When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails.
Just because a game receives a great amount of praise vs. only a small amount of criticism
does not mean to call it a day and make a foolish misplaced assumption that it is perfect.

Looks cool to me and could definitely add some new flavor to the game.
Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Thank You for the feedback. Yeah, it definitely would be awesome to have in-game. Not that PoE doesn't already in a lot of areas, but a window like this would blow Diablo 3 out of the water, and other games.

They should add guild support.

I think they are waiting for something like a cut-throat league or some other such league where having a guild is really important before launching it...I have zero facts or evidence for this theory....I do believe someday they will introduce guild support though.

The idea is for Guild Support to be available in any League no matter what one you're in, as stated within the 'FEATURES' headline. The only thing that would change when switching between leagues is your League / Difficulty Flag in the 'Exiles Tab,' as shown in the Screenshot.

Love this idea +1
Great work mate, I don't know why GGG still doesn't implement a guild system, it will improve greatly the communication between players, teamplay and cooperation. Also, its great for future PvP additions.

I see that you have inspired in Guild Wars 1 system, but I think alliances here are redundant. It make sense when you want to make a huge PvP system but nothing more, I preffer to reduce complications and have only 1 guild, just 1 chat, with 100 users max instead of 50.

Also it would be great to include a new forum with, each guild, 1 post visible only for members and another public post for recluting.

Yes, I have adapted some of what Guild Wars 1 has, but this layout is more specific / better. There is more to it while still keeping the UI clutter-free and easy-to-use.

Did you mean recruiting at the end there? Can you also be more specific on what you're trying to get across in the above quoted? It sounds kind of good, but I don't get it entirely.

Also, what do you mean about a New Forum, a whole other Forum?

Like make a UI Window specifically for recruiting purposes and that shows trade, much like Guild Wars does?

Anyway, let me know and Thank You for your feedback.
