Still, the physical damage can finish me off in 2-3 hits tops, the stupidly broken bleed effect from Impalers cannot be outhealed even by potion with +100% recovery time + rejunev totem, etc.
I have yet to experience this myself but Im getting close. Instant recovery pots help during these oshi moments. An Assassins Garb provides +3% movement speed which might help with positioning and anticipation. A nice hp belt would go a long way. Is there a unique that prevents bleed damage? What about warlords mark for the endurance charges & leech?
I've spent some time (72lv) with this build now and while the farming capabilities are great (6~ min per docks run), I've encountered problems with running maps.
Basically, after clearing 7 maps my experience counter is exactly where it was before I started :)
I'm currently sitting at 1900 hp with 75% fire/light/cold resists in mostly evasion gear. Still, the physical damage can finish me off in 2-3 hits tops, the stupidly broken bleed effect from Impalers cannot be outhealed even by potion with +100% recovery time + rejunev totem, etc.
So how do you progress from this point? I don't think my dps is an issue (about ~2700 tooltip dps w/ single target nuke ice shot, ~500 dps w/ chained gmp lightning arrow, before projectile weakness + death's harp).

Im in the same boat. I switched up my gems to get the Ice Shot Chain Brotem, I delinked Chain from Lightning Arrow, and I rofled my way to level 70. Instant I hit maps it was just 1 shot 2 shot city. And I wasn't doing the one shotting.

I have friends that are completely different builds and playstyles that are getting rolled in the exact same fashion. Its not just this build. Hard game got harder :P

Oh no I agree completely. Its just. This game does not seem the type for Glass Cannons. Nearly all of the top builds I see build for survivability first and damage second, because no matter what... someone is going to hit you.
oh yikes... only now when I could equip the armor do I realize it removes all mana... I thought just gems placed in it got bloodmagic... not everything :/

I don't think there's a way to prevent bleed. I did however try attaching life leech to my single target nuke and while it works better (was able to outheal bleed this way), it still does not help when you get insta gibbed by a pack of leaping spiders or the flickering guys (they also one shot my rejunevation totem just before that) ;)
120hp belt would probably help, last one I've seen that also had elemental damage was sold for over 4 exalted though, lol.

Have you ever wanted a faithful pet that erupts chaos flame from its mouth? Link Raise Specter into The Covenant for an added 55-83 Chaos damage from all hits/attacks your minions do. I have no idea how this balefire is calculated in an uninterruptible aoe cylinder, but I want more.
I keep looking over these builds. Well, as many of them as I can. I notice one thing in common: huge elemental damage output; pretty much NO resistances, energy shield, evasion, anything.
How do you keep from being killed? What do you guys do for defense? You pass over some huge ES and resistance nodes to get, granted, some higher DPS, but how survivable is that, really, if you're not SUPER good at avoiding enemy hits?
I'm trying to make a good character that goes in this direction, but I don't want a glass build, ya know?
