[HC][SC] [1.0.0] KayeOsse's CI CRIT Ranger Guide (ROA,LA) 7k+ ES, 23k ROA, 79k Frenzy Ranger

what are your stats now? such as ES and dps?
Absolute legend, level 34 and haven't died once! lol, only build I need, much appreciation!
Relatively new to the game so sorry if this is an obvious question, however how did you end up with one life? I'm guessing at some point you sacrifice life to pump the ES but I can't see where.

There's a keystone in the upper right of the passive tree called Chaos Innoculation or CI.
Hi there,

first of all, I like the idea of the build and I highly appreciate your way of presentation.
But nevertheless i have kind of a ton of questions:

As the title says, you say this build is hardcore viable. I want to play a crit based LA/SA character in nemesis. I don't really "need" to play a ranger, but I also wouldn't mind.
But are the life nodes you pick during leveling really enough to survive? I just died with my scion at ~ lvl 27 and I feel like I had approximately as much life nodes as you took in your guide till lvl 40. I ended up with ~700 hp, which was way too low.
And further, I see the problem of figuring out when is the right time to change to CI. Because if I look at your suggestion for lvl 60, it isstill kind of far away from being able to switch. And playing till lvl 80 with these few life nodes seems hard for me.

Next thing is how to mitigate dmg with this build. I read tat recently there are more or less two kind of people: Some use IR and therefore armor, and otherrs use evasion + acrobatics.
As you don't use either, do you get enough armor + evasion, so you don't eat too much dmg? I'm just wondering. With my RoA ranger on HC with ~6k armor and ~30-35% dmg reduction I already felt like eating way too much dmg (and I already used IR + grace -.-)

And I'm supruised by your statement that physical reflect is an issue to this build, I would have thought elemental reflect is an issu to LA, am I mistaking something here?

Last but not least I would like to have your opinion on my skill set idea, I don't know if this would work or not.
I think about doing something like:
LA + LMP + chain/LL(LoH) + cast on crit + Arc
Frenzy + FA + PCoC + LL/some DPS gem

I like the idea of using the new cast on crit gem, you think this might work? Or do I have to fear stuff like reflect or thorns even more than I already have to with your kind of build?

I hope you can help me with my concerns, I'm really puzzled on how to work my next character out.

Physical Reflect is always an issue for non vaal pact users. Also it becomes an issue when you run into dual ref mods (Map mod and monster mod). Your main dps is phys, the ele dmg you output is low so vaal pact negates it entirely. If your taking the builds with Vaal Pact (recommended) then your only time for concern is when you hit 2x ref mods.

Dmg mitigation definitely got nerfed. You can alter the build and use 2 passives to grab iron reflexes since its on the path of the build. Also I have been using a combination of cast on dmg taken + Enduring Cry + Crit Weak. This enables you to constantly have Enduring Cry up which also gives us more dmg mitigation, 4 charges = 16% Dmg Mit. Also please remember Granite flask is definitely your friend, you will need to use it when deemed fit but get in the habit of activating it. IF you already have a char in the nemesis league, you can bring down a jade flask which is the same thing as granite but just for evasion. Evasion calculation into Armour is higher then Armour just stacking. So if you are wondering yes, I do use the new Jade Flask from the other league in Standard. Had a buddy of mine get 1 for me.

You gem combo doesn't seem right to me. The trig gems are powerful... yes but that gem can be replaced for lets say WED, Faster Atks etc;. Cast on Crit + the skill gem of your choosing is taking 2 valuable slots on your 6l weapon which is hurtful to the build. Don't get me wrong its great that your thinking outside the box but those kind of trig gems, curses, support skills etc; would be placed in your 4L or in your 6L Frenzy( Even then for 6L Frenzy same thing goes just as your 6L LA). In my opinion id rethink what your choosing but again its your pref.

As for changing at 60. I never said to change at 60, I said to change when you feel the time is right or when you have saved up and built the gear needed. The 1-60 Leveling guide is that just a guide. I was hopping by the time you hit 60 you have some grasp or concept of the game and can make the decision your self whether to continue using more life in the build if not ready or changing that instant if you want to go into the main build.

Okay, so you don't think casting a skill like e.g. arc without cost and cast speed, but instantly with every crit you do (which I suppose are quite a lot) is doing more dps than the two support gems? I actually thought this might be the case. I came to this idea due to same videos on this CoC gem which got quite famous recently.

I'm thinking of trying a LA Ranger based on your build, and if i get my hands on a CoC I might just try if it is worth it or not. So if it turns out that CoC is not as great as it sounded to me, I am still left with an apparently viable end game build and don't stand there with an useless char ;)

The only concern which I stil have is if the life is enough to survive till I have enough ES for CI. Maybe I have to figure this out myself.

Hi, i found somethink you can do better. you took on the right side a node which give 12% phys bow dmg. you can remove it and take a node in the middle which give 15. You win 3% phys bow dmg.

Edit:

I have made two variantes of your build. The most changes are in the left button corner. What do u think about them and do u think variante two will get mana problems? I removed the 20% reduced mana skill cost and changes them to dps and 40% mana reg + 32% more mana.

Variante 1

Variante 2

And what about Ondar's Guile ( Doubles chance to dodge projectile attacks. Is it not a strong node?

yea i see what you did but the point of me not taking those is only because there are more worthwhile nodes. Can't go full deeps terd. Your phys is scaling plenty with the current phys nods but I did leave the build open to be interpreted for everyone.
