The Ultimate Melee DPS/TANK [FACEBREAKER ONSLAUGHT GUIDE]
So I looked at the pre-release version of the passive tree from a few days ago and there are only a few changes I noticed that will warrant some rerouting:
1) Unless changed we will not be able to cut through the southern portion of what will be the Scion starting area to get to Iron Reflexes. 2) The Phalanx (shield block) circular node cluster in the west has been shifted north a little and it's original location is now occupied by a new keystone (unidentified). That said, the cluster is still accessible as we head north anyway and it shouldn't require any additional points to access. What that keystone is and whether it's worth getting is unknown to me. I plotted what I feel is the next best route below (at various skill point allotments). I haven't added the gains/losses yet. That said, I always wondered if this was a slightly better route anyway but after doing the math the loss of %HP in favor of a little extra leech didn't seem worth it. Well, now there's no choice. 36 Points - Resolute Technique and life/Amplify nodes (~Lvl 28)

Now, this is purely roughed in based on what I can see in the new tree (which is consistent with the existing tree, assuming all values on nodes remain the same). Also, my level estimates may be off a bit (especially on the first two) and assumes for bandits you chose life/passive/passive. Lastly, I'm sure there's a much better choice for certain nodes or the order their taken, but this is what looks to be my "rough" route come release day. That said, odds are, I'll probably let my respec rot for a week or two while the dust settles and play a Scion :) |

Nerfing Facebreakers -.-

True, but the build will still be viable. They're buffing phys dmg in other spots so it can be made up. It's not like they're breaking them, though to be fair I haven't seen exactly what they're lowering the unarmed dmg range to. I kinda assumed 600-800. |

Wow, looking at a screenshot of the final tree there are a TON of changes from the pre-release tree I was working off of. That said, all of the changes I see look good and make my proposed route (down and then right instead right and then down) make even more sense I think (smaller number of wasted nodes grabbed enroute). Anxious to see the passive tree live on the site. |

" Hey man, will you post new passive tree for this build? I would be grateful. |

" Looks a bit low on Dex, i was thinking more along these lines .. Btw i'm no pro at theorycraft so i wouldn't copy any builds just yet :P definitely room for suggestions, it might be a bit low of %life ? maybe drop some of that attack speed, the -16% mana reservation might be useful aswell, i dont know the math with mana reduction and auras :\ Help. Edit Actually i think i have to much dex now :P Last edited by MorbiusAu#3180 on Oct 24, 2013, 4:18:00 AM
