Wow, it's great to see an awesome game being developed in West Auckland. I'm thinking of getting into the game development industry myself, but there was the thought of having to travel overseas to work. The fact that you have, and still are, creating an awesome game with stunning visuals and what looks like spectacular gameplay is very inspirational to the likes of us west siders, in fact to people all over NZ.
I seriously have to commend you and once again say how mind blowing your project is. Everything looks so professional and it is something that people WOULD spend money to play. But that being said im really glad you are keeping it free ( mainly because I would'nt be able to pay for it for numerous reasons), and have promised to have it remain so forever.
I also like how you don't seem to have 'member preference', like other games in which you have to have paid for membership to experience the game at it's fullness.
Thanks, Me.

Everyone here are ''possessed'' by this game, me and you included. Here's a fresh example with myself - I was checking my email yesterday when I saw a letter from Blizzard, who thanked me for supporting their game ( StarCraft 2 which I played since beta and which I have pre-ordered days before release) so they ''bought'' me the original WoW and gave me 30 days of free play. And let me tell you, it's good but I prefer playing PoE much more. :D

they weren't giving you that to be nice. Thats like saying " man this drug dealer gave me this free crack!. It was pretty sweet :D"

This has to be my favorite statement so far...
I love virtual brutality so save it for the Mobs...
Can't wait. It need me an hour or two to reed most of the staff..:) But i think that is very good concept, and vary similar to "titan quest",witch is a good think, which is one of my favorite rpg of all time. Keep good work and of course sign me for beta to test it and send some feedback. sorry for my bad english.:) Cheers...

Stages of development, refining, tweaking, optimizing the game o-o

I would like to know if the game is going to be translated to any other language. Thanks in advance and sorry if the question was already asked.

Alpha and beta in software are words used to describe the progress in development. Generally an alpha version is considered incomplete and alpha testing is mostly focused on stability and crash fixing. A beta is usually a testing version that is functionally complete but needs to be bugfixed, checked for exploits and for an online game this is when most of the server loading is tested.

Exactly what SpudOfDoom said. If you want a little bit more information:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_testing

Pretty much as detailed as it gets.

If you don't want to read the whole thing:

Alpha testing is simulated or actual operational testing by potential users/customers or an independent test team at the developers' site. Alpha testing is often employed for off-the-shelf software as a form of internal acceptance testing, before the software goes to beta testing.

Beta testing
comes after alpha testing and can be considered a form of external user acceptance testing. Versions of the software, known as beta versions, are released to a limited audience outside of the programming team. The software is released to groups of people so that further testing can ensure the product has few faults or bugs. Sometimes, beta versions are made available to the open public to increase the feedback field to a maximal number of future users.
