Weirdo build contest [win Exalted] WE GOT A WINNER!
Hi,
I´d suggest a Lifebased Vaal Pact pure Evasion 2handed-Axe Critbuild

Gear
Uniques used in endgame: Wurm´s Molt, Kaom´s Primacy, Darkray Vectors, Death Rush Additionally required: A 5link is mandatory, 6link would be much better. Ideally on the axe itself, but that is no must. Flasks: 2x Surgeon´s Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline (Recharge on Crit, up to 100% increased Evasion and 40% Movespeed for 5 to 6 seconds) 1x Surgeon´s Quicksilver Flask of Warding (Recharge on Crit, Curseimmunity and 40% Movespeed for 5 to 6 seconds) 2x Perpetual Diamond Flask of Reflexes (20% to 40% Faster Recharge, Critchance times 1.5 and up to 100% increased Evasion for 3.5 to 4.2 seconds)
Skills
Main: 20% Flicker Strike - Multistrike - Melee Physical Damage - Blood Magic - Power Charge on Critical (6link: Added Fire Damage /// 20% Additional Accuracy) Support: Blood Rage Curses: Enfeeble - Critical Weakness - Incr. Facts
4 Frenzy Charges 5 Power Charges 25,5% Chance to Crit 38% Critchance with 5 Power Charges min. 13%/14% instant Life Leech (depending on Death Rush ring) min. 4% Mana Leech Godspeed with permanent Adrenaline+Quicksilver Buff and 20% Movementspeed with 4 Frenzy Charges up Critweakness for faster killing and charge buildup Enfeeble against Physical Reflect (on top of VP) Biggest Weakness: insane massive desync overload guaranteed Any DoT debuff when there is nothing to fight
Description
Enter an area, head for the next pack. Once an enemy is in line of sight activate Blood Rage. Curse as much enemies as possible, hold the attack button and don´t let go until everything is dead... If there are Champions or rare mobs among the pack, pop a Diamond flask. When the pack is cleared, pop your Adrenaline Quicksilver, pick up loot as fast as possible and rush for the next pack. Make sure to consume your Quicksilver Flasks consistently to get the most out of the Surgeon´s Affix (let´s say you have them on 1 and 2, then do not pop like this: 1,1,2,2 but instead: 1,2,1,2). This way you will not end up with two empty Adrenaline Flasks when thze pack was smaller than expected. You might have noticed that I did not recommend any support for Blood Rage. As this char has no life regen, the Chaos-DoT from Blood Rage kicks in with full effect, once there are no more enemies left. Unless you have a quality Portal gem linked to faster casting I recommend using Scrolls as a last resort, because Blood Rage cannot be stopped in any other way (except for changing the area, but that comes down to the same). Additionally we might have trouble with Viper Strike and Puncture mobs, which is the reason for Evasion as our defensive concept. We want to avoid those hits, and not reduce them. I hope you like this build idea. In my opinion it is rather weird... best regards Hold on to yer shite load o´ bloody barnacles on me arse-cockles, me hearty!

Anvil Rain Cyclone Leapfrog
Link to Passive Skill Tree Gear Chest = none Helm = The Bringer of Rain Amulet = The Anvil Weapon1 = Soul Taker axe Weapon2 = Bloodseeker claw other gear = rare, be sure to keep those resists up! Movespeed on boots is discouraged. Skills Helm: Cyclone + Multistrike + Life Gain on Hit + Life Leech Gloves/Boots 1: Leap Slam + Faster Attacks + Culling Strike + [gem of your choice] Gloves/Boots 2: Grace + Temporal Chains + Reduced Mana + Blood Magic Weapons: Determination, Haste, Hatred and Purity, supported by one Reduced Mana each weapon Facts 20+ attacks per second with Cyclone 78% dual-wield block chance 26% chance to blind on hit 2+ Leap Slams per second without Multistrike (fast movement) Play Notes Bloodseeker's unique ability combined with Life Gain on Hit support gives you lots of instant healing, allowing you to heal significantly even against Reflects Physical Damage a la Vaal Pact (which you don't take). Soul Taker allows you to convert your entire mana pool into auras, and two 5% reservation reduction nodes allow you to run four of them (without Soul Taker you just take the Blood Magic keystone and don't get percent auras). Leap Slam provides mobility based on attack speed, counteracting Anvil's drawback (and making movespeed on boots a liability as it makes Cyclone move too fast); quality on a leveled Culling Strike allows even faster Leap Slam movement. Primary weakness is spells, since they bypass blocking and the blind status. Also, the build doesn't have a lot of life, because it usually doesn't need it, since it regenerates amazingly fast in battle... but it's a little vulnerable until it gets within Cyclone range. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. Skull Support
Requires a set group of 6 people(preferably friends) Main item: Supporting items: Aurumvorax for insane allres. You will not be last-hitting (or hitting for that matter) so IIR is not important. Lochtonial for Conduit Atziri's Mirror to reflect curses at monsters (or you can just pick another Aurumvorax) Windscream & Deodrex2 for +3 curses Key skills: Get all possible auras you can run, with reduced mana passives and gems. Get 5 curses that synergises with your team. Enduring cry Passives: +1 max curse Aura radius Buff effect Rest: defensive abilities Playstyle: You are just there to help your team. You have 0 damaging skills, you cast 5 curses (preferably linked with faster cast) and run around spamming Enduring Cry. By using curses, your other teammates have more time to focus on DPS. You will not be tanking the mobs, you are just doing it to get endurance charges and share them with your team. If you can, get 1 extra endurance node and help Oak for 5 enduring charges that should be on the all times. The main item (Leer Cast) will also further help your team. |

Since I think you want weird, but viable, I present the witch tank.
Passive Tree
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgMA37BXK4IQB2MHpeaBAuMRUEmyu9YsnDvhjr7i920ZES2nK8HzfIOio836f8a4k8HFL53r7qcI7BgsvxbzKPqPRo_6w22GriY8gscdFNvnFddBh_rSTDVHBteGerhmnijFwuxfalZjrpOplXFN874egW6qKjhwfVFgms9LjT8nT30aMkNj_xwqTYBWtzEVIFj1LOlfmJ3E3Q1ZbVuvHb4Y20OcDq0ppU4qtkFDMRvIXhPDhueRrK-YrQ== Surviving: Nobody thinks of witch for tank, but with iron reflex changes (no dex bonus) and molten shell being a huge boost to armor, it's perfectly viable. You will end up with armor that will most likely reduce physical by about 40% (because +60% armor), and block chance of 67% (tempest shield is important). That's a combined damage reduction of 80.2% for physical. Block chance doesn't get reduced by higher level enemies like evasion, so you don't get weaker as you face stronger enemies. With +34 block chance and 75% increased defenses from shields, that one slot will determine the strength of the build instead of a weapon. The build doesn't leverage as much %ES as others (162%), but the increased shield defenses will cause the base ES to be good enough that the end result is high ES that life builds cannot achieve. Damage: Molten shell is the big hit and why the build goes for some cast speed and damage. Tempest Shield with culling strike is the finisher. With Elemental Equalibrium, they hit you to give themself -fire and cold resist, then blow the shell to make them weak to lightning again. Why it's weird: As for odd passive nodes, Bulwark is rarely used and yet very good for this build. The rest of the passives aren't odd, but witches normally go for summons or totems to keep enemies AWAY from them. This build needs to get hit. Items: It's not very item specific and really just needs a good shield to work. No uniques are required, but the build certainly gain benefits from many of the unique shields and Stone of Lazhwar amulet for both block chance to spells (making it 62% total) and even cast speed. Important Skills: High quality Molten Shell (+life leech, chance to ignite, faster casting, optional: fire pen, elemental prolif or concentrated effect) Enduring Cry (+faster cast) Auras: Tempest Shield (+added lightning, lightning pen, culling strike) Grace Determination Discipline Last edited by Dracobane#7006 on Jul 19, 2013, 1:23:05 PM

To do so, we use Infernal Blow (50% conversion) and either Blackgleam (up to 50% conversion) or Chernobog's Pillar (25% conversion). Blackgleam increases our damage more but Chernobog's is a viable alternative if you wish to have more defense. We use Meginord's because it adds the most DPS for Facebreakers out of other belts. In addition, since we take Resolute Technique, we need a way to cause burning without criticals. Chance to Ignite gives 44% chance on hit at lvl 20, 20% Increased Burning Damage adds another 10%, the unique Cloak of Flame provides another 10% (while also increasing Ignite duration), and the Flammability curse adds a final 14%, for a total of 78%. This makes getting burns off very reliable. Though at first it may seem like Cloak of Flame decreases our survivability when compared to an end-game armor chest, by converting 20% of incoming physical damage to fire damage, it reduces the impact of heavy hitting physical attackers by reducing the amount they penetrate armor while simultaneously allowing your 81% fire resistance (with Purity/Elemental Adaptation) to reduce the converted amount by much more than your armor would. Melee Splash vs. Elemental Proliferation is a matter of preference. If you instantly kill a single target with Infernal Blow, the corpse will explode, and will not proliferate. However, if the fire splash damage ignites a nearby enemy, that damage should proliferate. On the other hand, Melee Splash allows you to directly Ignite the main target/nearby enemies. |
