Confirmation button for breaking a 6 Link

Hey guys.

3-4 weeks ago, I got home from work, was real tired, logged on, and wanted to change socket colours of my 6link item.

I wound up accidentally using the item that reforges number of sockets, thus, breaking my 6link item.

It took me 3 months of playing and saving to gather up economy items to get that 6link, then I spent a ton in crafting orbs to get a semi-decent rare roll.

So demoralized after all that time spent, I haven't logged into the game since then, and don't really want to, this isn't the type of game where you can get 5l's easy, let alone 6links.

A confirmation button or something would be nice for breaking 5links and 6links. I donated 60-80 for your stash tabs, pretty much done with the game since that happened. Im sure it has happened alot to people, such a shame.

Thanks.

ps - careful when treading that fine line of good loot drops being too rare to get vs time invested in game, some ppl might realise if a 5l, let alone a 6l item can take months and months to ever see drop, (not talking about rare roll mods), they realise the time invested in this game is better off investing time in another game that is more rewarding vs time spent. Long story short, itll take me months to rebuild currency and refarm for a 5/6link item just to get back to where I was. Not gonna happen. Will be following your patch notes if you ever make changes to come back, I'm stepping away even though I don't want to. Try some other pc games until then.

A reward for a 6l item should be made for a quest in merciless mode, along with confirmation button installed. My 2 cents

I would like to see this happen as well.

It's such a simple thing and it wouldn't change gameplay or make crafting more difficult either (how many times are you going to break a 5/6 link? really?)

Quality of Life. It would be nice to have.
Personally I consider confirmations to be a little too far down the road of hand holding.

I think a better option would be a "lock" on each item that when activated prohibited any modifications. If you want to change something about it you have to unlock the item. Once it's unlocked, the onus is on you to make sure you're doing what you want with it. Personal responsibility and all.

Of course, this would only be a QoL improvement. I, myself, can easily live without it. While I haven't ever had the situation the OP describes happen, I imagine it would suck out loud. That said, I don't think it's at all unreasonable to expect players to pay attention to what they're doing.

No confirmation, please. Rather make it so that the fusing can only increase the number of links. That is all.

So 6 fusings = 6 link guarantee? Jeweller's too with sockets?

Or do you mean, it has a huge chance of failing (and doing nothing) and a small chance of success based on how many links already exist?

Because then the odds of it succeeding would have to be dropped a lot as compared to how it is now since we can't backtrack as we only get better items and never worse.

Overall, I wouldn't want that. I would rather keep the current system (RNG). Adding a confirmation or a lock as previously mentioned would be a good choice though imo.

Nope.

Yep. Same chance of 6L as before, just no chance of going backwards. It could make a buzzing noise or something. And I don't agree that there is any balance related reason to make 6L less likely due to the property I propose at all.

Although as you say, a confirmation would be adequate as well.

My suggestion : a 6L cannot be fused.

Maybe an option to set for specific slots (Boots, Chest, Helms, etc) that you can set for conformation to override the current amount of links once you have a specific amount of links.

I've accidentally miss clicked while trying to 4-link my off pieces, which is pretty frustrating...
Either lock or simple not possible to unlinked them, either would be nice :)

Great, another anti-negative RNG guy. Deal with it, its here to stay.
