Just replaces "X has been slain" with a more detailed "X has been slain by Y". Players in the instance can see it, as normal. "X has committed suicide" messages remain unchanged.

I like this suggestion. I'd even go further and say that it'd be nice if the game kept stats on your deaths. So instead of just telling me how many times I died using /deaths, it would also tell me who/what killed me the most.
