Ice Pierce Crit really got a hugh buff. Bows buffed (11%)+ ice shot damage buffed (20%)+ ice shot AoE buffed + less mana cost + Herald of Ice (we will have to wait for more details there) + manaleach-craft + new crit bows for leveling + BurningArrow (if this is your secondary)

I think that in the new tree we have shadow>scion and shadow>ranger for IceShotPierceCrit but it probably depends on the details of what you want to do.

For all Iceshot users, the Heraldry of Ice adds a flat cold damage to your attacks, so the Hatred/Grace combo will still be the superior combo. HoI also reserves 25% of your mana pool which is impossible to sustain for mana users with Hatred/Grace on. If you take a lot of mana reservation nodes and use Alpha Howls, then yes you can run HoI, but I don't think it's worth it.


On that note, Iceshot has been buffed and mana cost has been reduced for it, as well as a reduction cost of mana multipliers for GMP/LMP/Chain. I think with this change, it may be entirely possible to do a Iceshot+GMP+Pierce+FA+PPAD+ICD/ICS as your AoE attack on mana. Using Drillneck and a good Harbinger bow will make the build extremely powerful.

might that 'streamer' be Zeno? I saw an early draft of his character yesterday. It looked a little bit different back then. Now it is really similiar to mine (not only a shadow but even most of the details).
It really is quite effective and fun so far.

Do you have a build thread or any idea of skills he is using?

Also was he using some sort of totem?
