I died in Hardcore - Level 55 - My World is broken and I Cry
My 50 something witch got eaten by 15+ blue flicker pirates, the second she stepped into the ship graveyard.
I never got to bury her...
" RIP Buy a pet. I heard Rhoas bury their owners well. The Eternal Rhoa pet sings a rainbow song during the burial. Good luck! Last edited by phantomboy on Jun 21, 2013, 1:56:37 PM

dont play melee buddy
...better wait for the fabled melee patch play dual totem in the mean time
I once had a dream that I died, woke up the next day relieved.
Then I got drunk and decided to play PoE, died at level 58 just quicksilvering through the forest at the beginning of Act 2 Merc. Unfortunately I woke up the next day and realized that wasn't a dream. Rerolled and one week later I'm level 69, even better than my original character (same build). Dying sucks. But, if you play HC/Onslaught and aren't willing to reroll I don't know what to tell you. |

" Why are you QQing and wasting forum space with such crap. Just quit already or learn from this "PoE life experience" and create a new HC or Onslaught character and work to do it better. I have 7 characters in Standard League that all died in HC and I didn't publicly QQ about it. All deaths in an HC league are frustrating and make you unhappy so what else it new? Go to ExilePro: http://www.exilepro.com and look at the PoE experts (Kripp, Curse, etc.) builds that work at high levels and get ideas from them that you can use to work your next build to be better than the last. That's what I am doing and my current Elemental/Necro Templar is only to level 34 but I learned from my past mistakes and have a much better necro/melee character this time. I even surprised myself how quickly I drove Piety away in the Sarn Crematorium (Normal level) by throwing up my 3 zombies and 4 skeletons and then face attacking her with my lightning infused Gal Ram Bladed Mace plus the 3 fire traps. Her health went down below 1/2 so fast and she bugged out that I was amused that I could finallly face roll her, albeit on an early low level battle. All my previous builds were ranged and either her lightning strikes or lightning balls were super damaging and it would take 5 plus minutes to get here health down to where she would bug out. So I think GGG has definitely improved melee characters with the latest 0.11.0 patch and thus rather than just QQing here and rage quit you should do a 180 on the "WTF just happened, I'm dead" and don't quit. Rather, get mad that you let that SOB mob or rare boss do that to me, start a new build, read and learn from others, and return to Wraeclast with a better frame of mind and have an attitude of "these creatures aren't going to do that again". Only time will tell if my latest Templar will make it to the HC endgame but so far I'm way ahead of my other builds in offense and defense in Normal difficulty and I'm leveling up smoothly and swiftly. I'm actually progressing faster now with a melee Templar than I can with any of my arrowsmith builds. I do have a bow on my Templar just in case the in-your-face direct attack is too dangerous but so far I've only used it 3 times. PoE is arpg the way it was meant to be. Play hard and die proudly. Learn and come back even stronger. Hey, if Arnold can come back and do another Terminator movie then you owe it to yourself not to give up on PoE just because of an HC death. One of the master PoE players, Kripparian, has experienced many very high level HC character deaths, learns from it, rerolls a new build, and continues playing PoE. Good luck. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. Onslaught over level fast farming died in my 50's... not because of dysnc... not because of an epic fight... My son needed to be changed and instead of porting (Can change him quick) I threw up a decoy and changed him and I was dead.
i paused for a couple minutes gave someone my stuff and just rerolled. My other guy died a similar way... I ported to town which i though but ported to that area that is right before town in act 2 went to have a smoke and was dead... Did not care to much was a dual totem guy and really did not like playing with him much and was boring. BUT they had hella good gems :/ my main is 84-85 in HC but havnt touched in 2 months. Currently in onslaught with same build as my 84-85 guy which is fireball/storm/molton/aura's and I do discharge farming <-Before the krippies. |
