Should i level up my Ice Spear/GMP up? Or just leave it at level 1 to get my power nodes? It's killing my mana pool

I recently just bought a lot of items specifically for this build. I really don't understand the playstyle, and maybe that's why I feel like I am failing so hard at it. In the video, you appear to use freezing pulse to get a few power charge stacks, and then permanently keep up charges while spamming Discharge. My gear is pretty good, but I am on Anarchy, so I don't have access to the Mirror Shield and other such stuff. I also am kind of confused about how to properly use auras in this game (started only a few weeks ago, haven't done much endgame stuff yet).
Here is my gear: (the rare ring is a placeholder until I buy a Gifts From Above tomorrow). Also, in the gear that you linked, your Void Battery had Righteous Fire, Power Charge on Crit, and Increased Crit Damage (I was curious if you were simply leveling these gems, or if there was something I was missing...especially since it isn't even linked. Also, I do realize I am missing quite a bit of auras, and I don't have the proper skills/support gems for freezing pulse/ice spear yet...) All/any help is appreciated...I just wanna make this build work because it looks incredibly fun to just run up and destroy absolutely everything. So.... how is this build compared to Kripparian's endurance Searing Touch Discharge build?
It seems a lot quicker because you don't have to cast Endurance Cry or Warlord's Mark as often but how good is it for end-game maps? |
