[1.0.6] CI Crit Dagger Shadow (30k DPS Flicker Ninja) [OB video up!]

i started my shadow keeping this build in mind, things were going fine until i noticed one major flaw. Since we will be using CI,isnt the investment of the skill points into the 6 hp nodes a waste ? coz out HP will be 1 anyways,so what's the point ? this is a total waste of 6 points. i tried changing the build a bit but i cudnt survive with such low hp to get to a lvl where i cud switch into ES. so instead i opted for ur EB build, which is much better rounded and fun to play.

the point of taking those HP nodes, as you should have noticed, is to increase survivability until you make the switch to CI (which you'll probably do at lvl 60+). by the time you need it you'll have enough respec points anyway to remove what you don't need.
so does the .10 patch which nerfs CI a by a lot ruin builds like this?

oh....we get enough respec points to do that change ? i did not know that, thanx for the info
One question I have for you invalesco is that... are you sure the benefits of helping Oak for extra phys dmg and extra charge outweighs the benefit of getting the two extra skill points?
This build looks like a heap of fun, is it viable for OB? HC of course.
Hey guys I'm completely new to this game and I'm feeling really lost, what do I need to do look out for in terms of questing and items? (Is the bandit quest the only one where it gives you unchangable options?

Am I meant to look for specific gems to become a flicker shadower?

For now I'm simply following the passive skill tree and advancing through Act 1 quests, and using what ever gems and skills I have/get.

"Lightning Strike as the AOE CC skill, Viper Strike/Elemental Hit/Double Strike as the main dps skill in 1v1 bosses/pvp situations and Flicker Strike "

Looking at that sentence, am I right when I say that I should be looking for the Lightning Strike gem, Flicker gem and my choice of either viper strike/elemental hit or double strike? Or do I look for all of them :o

not viable for HC yet. it's still too early in the economy for good ES gear to be circulating around.

You'll get Lightning Strike gem as a quest reward in act3 normal. Flicker strike will also be a quest reward if you need it, if not you can trade for it.

Viper strike will be a level 4 quest reward. Elemental hit is nice but not necessary.

Double strike is basically the first gem you pick up on twilight strand.

Awesome thanks for the info, I've got my dual strike and viper strike already.

So what are my other spells, since I have a total of 7 different slots.

Or are only flicker, lightning, viper and double strike compulsory, and the rest are up to my choice?

flicker and lightning strike will be compulsory. Either viper or double strike can be used. My advice is to use viper strike till around merciless act2 or act3 when you can get a good dagger which when used with double strike will outdps viper strike's DoT.
