Reasons Why Desync Happens (Thoroughly Explained /w Cited Commentary On Fixes & Focuses Info)
" Ye as melee it's pretty lame, already got 3 death from desynch in Onslaught, my last was in front of Brutus, the funny part is that i knew going melee on brutus merciless was plain stupid, i regret i haven't used my lv1 bear trap pretending i make huge dps as i though i should, at least i wouldn't have to deal with this crap. My test on melee build for this new patch is just a plain failure due to desynch alone. I already rerolled to much melee and have no taste to make yet an other one that can't handle merciless. " Long story short, I was heavily under the impression statements you made were directed at me and my original Thread. Now that I read back on them, your statements are a little over generalizing in that they tend to rub off on everyone, including me, the OP. With that said, pardon my harsh words toward you in any way. P.S. For future reference, make your statements more obvious as to who you are targeting. When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. Just because a game receives a great amount of praise vs. only a small amount of criticism does not mean to call it a day and make a foolish misplaced assumption that it is perfect. FYI, D2 has way worse desyncs. you sometimes get flung back half a map when playing on ladder.

" FYI . . . My Thread does not talk about Diablo II. If any Diablo game mentioned in this Thread it's Diablo III, not Diablo II. As a newbie to this game (and a veteran D3 and D2 player) I really do enjoy this games basic concept.
But, not knowing its history (but i swear i heard about a PoE beta what seems like YEARS ago, and i get the impression it has been in beta for an exceedingly long time?) the technical glitches in this "beta" seem... expansive. I would assume that very, very high on the devs priority list is stability? Is there something inherent in the original design of the game that makes it hard to make this game more reliable? I did read the topic post, but nothing there says "this is why THIS game has such bad sync issues". It reads more like a primer on the general concepts involved, unless I'm blind. What is wrong with PoE specificly? A few posts seem to suggest that it ISNT the code. No? What else is there? Its either the hardware or the code, it isnt my PC or my connection. All my other games run pretty much just fine. Last edited by TroySpiral#6087 on Jul 9, 2013, 4:29:55 AM

Guys, may I know is there any fix for the desync issue?
Till now I cant have propose game experience in PoE. Especially when going into party the lags is pretty bad. And also even picking up items always the last. I really hope GGG can come up with solution to resolve this. Once fixed, I believed PoE deserves best voted game. |

Because blizzard has the money to hire talented game developers these guys are quite frankly new compared to the team that has created some of the worlds most intensive video games. But even on that sad note I believe these guys can fix any problem that is put in front of them they have a dedicated fan base rooting for them and a worlds worth of people looking in wondering if this model of gameplay/game development/ fan based retail is the future if they fail gaming will go on with its boring course of too much money for boring garbage games if they succeed they will have changed gaming how it is perceived, funded and marketed forever.
I generally tend to ignore stupidity so if you don't get a reply and can't figure out why .....

" The problem is there are too many problems it is literally a domino effect of bad writing on the devs part and they have to go in and fix a conundrum of stuff and the problem is with domino effects is that once you find one problem in the writing you'll find another. I generally tend to ignore stupidity so if you don't get a reply and can't figure out why .....

" I lol'd so hard at the "papparian" part. anyways some really interesting stuff here, I think the hurling of insults at OP for assuming the devs didn't consider utterly everything is a little unjustified, they are human after all. It may well be during prototyping phases for debugging or simplicity purposes they used a more simple but less effective or efficient method for things which may be overlooked because of how long ago it was done, having suggestions or simply having people theorize about how things are being done or how they could possibly be improved isn't helping anybody. In fact they could possibly help. All this vitriol over suggestions is a little depressing. They gave poor Darwin a hard time too. |
