Thoughts on open beta - Where everyone gets to play. No key required
We all know closed beta hasn't been around that long, and we're all hopeful to get into it.
We wait, watch the timer, check our emails, refresh everything and check again, only to be disappointed. We do all of this, for an invite that might not ever come. So I say lets look toward the future, in this case open beta. We'll all get to play as much as we want before the release and it'll be awesome. Beta testing is always fun, and everyone would get to join in. Obviously closed beta is for testing the game's dynamics and how everything runs as more and more people are added to the test. That being said, when do you think open beta will be released? What are you looking forward to the most about it? Why have you read this post? To get psyched up for the upcoming open beta in which all of us will surely be playing, no matter what. So like I said before, since you'll be playing it... what are you looking forward to the most, when do you think it will be out? And possibly most importantly... how many nonstop hours of playing are you going to put into it once it arrives?
first of all omg server lag and crashes. Second omg trolling.
Hardcore is the only way to go!

" Hopefully it won't crash too much lol
Last I heard, Chris said they were aiming for late this year or early next year for the OB. I'd love to get a key for CB now, but if OB takes another year to come out, I'd rather they take their time and release the product they (and we) want.

I heard January. But that's from the grapevine..

*popcorn*
2 beta keys left!
I DONT USE IRC, if someone by my name offers you keys its a impostor.(I only post here and in-game as Manoka and ManokaHC) sending me a PM about beta keys will NOT get you a beta key. |

" This isn't Blizzard. GGG can actualy update their game during the beta, so that they dont have to wait a year to release it Hot potato, Hot potato.

They probably will at some point to "stress test" the servers, but that is generally at the end of the production cycle.

Once we're approaching Open Beta, we'll expand the Closed Beta rapidly to scale up the size of the userbase until everyone has access. So if there are say 100,000 signed up users by then (just picking arbitrary numbers from the air), we might decide to invite multiple people per minute or some similar fast rate.
