Ranger Start Tree feedback
" I can give you mine, I don't think that I will use it any more. I hoped to respec my ranger into pure eva/BM user, but with those still pathetic life nodes in ranger area I still need to go to marauder and templar and it is even harder to escape ranger start area now. Maybe somebody though already how to do this? BTW Do you at GGG know what symmetry is? And what is sense in this arachnid nest? Anticipation slowly dissipates... I took all the eva/life nodes available, well, I need one more point so next level they will be all. I think it's the best change, sure the keystones and all are cool, but pairing evasion with life in ranger area is the best. That and the fact they didn't forget about melee ranger :)

I'm a little concerned about the change to IR because the only change this patch really had for me was my ranger losing a couple thousand armour about 30%. I can't understand why you would want Evasion gear to be worthless/worse than it was and in turn buff pure armour. How does this make any sense? Rangers with all the +EV nodes and +Dex running around in Full Plate(pure Armour)? that's what you want? Seems like terrible fluff/ counter intuitive. Hope GGG will find a way to properly balance IR soon. "Dex does not apply" does not seem like the answer. Maybe only %50 applies is worth exploring.

I don't like this changes too. This patch brought only chaos with full respect. How to save passive points from +10 dex nodes?
1. Revenge of the Hunted is unprofitable. 2. There is no good connection between Shadow and Ranger now. 3. Ranger is forced to go lower path of passive tree. | |
Heh, I like symmetry :P So for example, I like duelist area for nice layout.
Anyway, I think I found solution for my ranger. Unfortunately, I can't try evasion and have to stick to armor as I need GRRRB for RoA and it's too costly to try to roll it on pure eva gear. I also resigned from BM keystone as using IR means that I need Determination. So, just small adjustment to previous build, it looks so @ lvl 77:

The Ranger area now gives very solid life bonuses overall. Don't forget those 6-6-10 sets, the life/Eva nodes, and the random life bonuses thrown into several notables, plus Thick Skin is stil easy to pick up. There's even some native life regen, although it's only 1%.

I agree that it is a bit harder to get out of the ranger tree, but I feel that there is much less reason to want to.
Still iterating on a build, right now I'm having a hard time picking up what I want from Shadow and Duelist. I want all the things in Ranger, so that's taking all my points. | |
For me there are too many "+10 dex nodes" and as tmaciak said "arachnid nest".

And I wonder, why the heck there is additional +10 dex node on way between Revenge of Hunted and Aspect of the Eagel circles? IMO such nodes should be only on intersections, it's pure waste of points... Anticipation slowly dissipates...
