Dual-wield and unique weapon effects
This has been mentioned a couple of times in new supporter packs thread.
" " " Any basis at all to expect this kind of thing or is it just wishful thinking? It really doesn't sound terribly practical buying a supporter pack again just to be able to match your weapons. It probably wouldn't hurt your sales much as I'm guessing not many people tend to buy multiple effects just for dual-wielding either way, and you would maybe gain a few sales from those that often build dual-wielders but weren't keen on buying same weapon effect twice. Maybe the solution would be applying microtransaction stuff on a character level, rather then on item/gem level, for example you activate ebony weapon effect and anything you hold in your hands henceforth has that effect, it's almost the same thing as now minus the hassle of transferring effects. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs. ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/balancedux]► ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/one-vision1]► Last edited by raics#7540 on Jun 7, 2013, 6:58:05 PM

Allow the supporters to buy another effect of the same type for a marginal cost. Let's say 5-20$ depending on the effect.
This would essentially eliminate the "unique" problem, since only people with the appropriate support pack would be allowed to purchase the effect, it would increase revenue from people buying the additional effect from dual wielding and it may persuade pure dual wielders to go for a supporter pack. For less logistics problems, add an option at checkout for the supporter packs with a checkbox. Tick the box and pay say 10% extra to receive a second copy of the effect. |
