Season Two, Event 178: 1 Hour Cutthroat Party

This league has Cutthroat and Hardcore enabled, when you die to enemies of any type you will be moved to Default league.

A summary of hardcore Cutthroat rules:
  • This is a separate short-duration league that has its own stash (as usual). At the end of the event, characters and stashed items will be moved to Hardcore.
  • There's a PvP damage multiplier because players start with a lot more life than they do damage. This multiplier will be adjusted substantially based on feedback from this event and others.
  • Players are hostile by default to players who are not in their party.
  • You can ctrl+click on the entrance to an area to use the Instance Management screen to manually enter any other player's instance of an area.
  • Cut-throat instances can hold a maximum of 12 players.
  • This is a hardcore league. When you die, you will be moved to default league, you lose the normal experience penalty for your difficulty plus 30% of your current level. You also drop all inventory and equipped items. Your flasks, skill gems (even ones in your inventory) and quest items are not dropped.
  • If you were killed by another player, your lost experience is split among their party.
  • If you attempt to abruptly leave the game in a non-town instance, you have to wait 5 seconds and are unable to move or use flasks.
  • The grace period of invulnerability upon entering an area is 20 seconds. This should start once the player is mostly done loading.
  • Non-partied players only show up on the map if they're nearby.
  • There are no notifications for players joining or leaving areas.
  • Portals cannot be used until they have been up for five seconds.
  • You cannot apply microtransaction effects to items in cut-throat. You may dance and have pets.

OMG more cutthroat so nice.
Actually, less cutthroat would be better; CT formats are getting only about one-third to one-half of the players participating in them. For those of us non-CTers striving to hit the next level it's a bit of a pain to see 10 out of 12 events be a "niche" format. How about making a few of these CT events something else?

Thanks again.

There ARE a lot in these few days, but remember - it's still beta. They're trying to get responses like this to determine how many CT to do and to iron out any CT issues before full release.

There'll only be something like 20-30 CT events on the season leaving some 220+ other events to play, but I understand your frustration. Between work and family I can only play races at certain times and of shorter lengths, so I'll never get top prizes.

I highly recommend you try the CT races though. For 30+ minutes I only encountered a few other players, but nothing has been more adrenaline pumping in the game so far.

Whole weekend dedicated only to CT races is kinda stupid, but alteast its better than the incoming week that is swarming with retarded LATI, LTI, LATIF, LACTIF, etc races...
Don't like these CT races since none of my friends play this game (only DotA). First to clear Fetid Pool and lvl 4. 3 points that's it for me. Got some nice gloves though
Hahah, this was awesome, I may have died but so did Helmannn and Goratha :DDD
So this entire weekend is all CrapTarded races. K I guess I won't play races then...
Died to Helman at Coves later terraces all had lvl 12s ;D

But Helman and Goratha got cocky and attacked the strong melees ofc they died ;D
