I cannot wait for the sync improvements!
Just thinking about this now, what could be bigger and more awesome than Melee changes, Monster Damage changes, and sync improvements?! WHAT IS THIS SECRET AWESOMENESS?!

If your intention for higher level maps is indeed to only be useful for high-end item aquisition (and not for high end exp gain aswell), then i will point out one big flaw in that logic.
Getting to a lvl 77 map once is already costly enough in terms of currency, maintaining it for several map runs, much more so.
The best course of action therefore, is to get there ONCE (invest the currencies to get up to level 77 ONCE) and then take all of the white items that are high-end, out of that map and stash it.
Proceed to never enter a high level map again, because the amount of currencies that you would have to invest to get up there, is better spent on the white items you took from your first run, in order to craft the items.

Once you have the raw item type, you dont have to ever enter a high level map again to get that raw base type, thus there is absolutely no point to spend more currencies on trying to get up there, since even doing that map for 100 times in a row would probably not grant a rare that is any good.
In order to be able to run a 77 map 100 times, you will have to spend about 1000-2000 chaos orbs, probaby closer to 5000, but whatever.
I will argue that you can create great items with 1000-2000 chaos orbs by using them on the raw types.

Basically what im saying is that your whole argument is flawed, and you need to rethink your intentions with the map system.
No one does maps for highlvl item aquisition right now.
They are doing high lvl maps to get experience.
If you uncouple the experience gain from the map system by introducing an alternative, everyone will go there, and the glaring issues i just talked about will surface.
No one will ever do high lvl maps again, because they are pointless when it comes to item/wealth aquisition, stating the opposite is ridiculous and just shows that you guys at GGG dont actually play your own game.


^^^ this is what is happening in the game right now.

I cant even remember the last time I got a nice rare item dropped in a map or in the game in general...

As far as the crafting I've wasted probably several exalts in alchs/chaoses/alts/regals to try and craft a prismatic ring with good life roll and cast speed not to mention resists or etc and wasted a lot on trying to craft n onyx amu with cast speed and spell dmg ( not even hoping to get life and res ) of course the crafting failed.

in other words the only way that a person can get a good end game item is by using the indexer to check if they are any on the forum and then overpaying badly in order to get 1 decent item.

Probably 90% of the uniques in the game are useless and most of them are difficult to sell even for 1 fuse... the uniques in this PoE remind me of Diablo 3.

So with other words at the moment people are playing a "grinding game" in which the only thing they grind for is XP since good end gear or the currency drops system is a joke.

These is feedback from a person who has spent few hundred hours playing the game that you have created as well as financially supported with more than 50$ so far. (and yes I know that u have people supporting u with hundreds of dollars but for a student 50$ are worth a lot..)

Anyway my point is that at the moment the way that the game loot and currency system works
is f*cked up.

which leaves only the XP. However due to the fact that the higher lvl maps drop rate is so f*cked up as well. To be honest it feels to me like since the last patch u guys nerfed even more the maps drop rate....

Melee buffs, more loot options, and sync issues getting better...My mind is blown.

We have been waiting for this for a long time, and you guys are going to deliver, like you normally do with your patches. I think this big patch coming is going to please everyone!
love to say it, TOLDJA SO. you complained, you whined, and every time i told you they would improve it EVENTUALLY. things came sooner than you thought, party options AND a desync (even if it is small improvement piece) patch. let it never be said that these devs dont know what they are doing (as i have heard from many infants about what they "think" GGG is doing wrong).


so you do know, they will also most likely improve map system E.V.E.N.T.U.A.L.L.Y (hey they are already teasing us with the 4 slots in the map maker, maybe map fusion? combination to make higher level maps? who knows!) so get useto the current one for now and stop biching about it being ruined because of the new map caps (on both ends).
