Same issue (EU region). Every time I press Play on Steam it downloads/validates some files and launches the game, but when I try to log in it says there's a patch that I need to update to.

Being able to log in and "working" are different things

After last game exit update started automatically and after i could log in.

Steam actually downloaded and I was able to log in to PoE just now

I'm now getting an error , after i closed the game to reopen and try dl again, my game is already running and it is not. Bravo I say
