Here is a reddit post that might have some relevant information. They mention that there is a character sheet overflow that (sometimes?) occurs at 21 million. I didn't read through the whole thing, but I imagine that is what you are encountering. There is also some mention of discharge in the post, so it's probably worth taking a look at.

I think the bulk of the post is related to breaking the 2Bil mark that has been mentioned, so might not be completely relevant, but they also reference this 21mil.

Also, the overflowing of average damage / DPS at 21 million is a very common occurance, even in regular builds, which only affects the display of that stat, and not the actual damage dealt, and this project is not about that stat.

Looking at your POB. Not sure what the correct configuration should be, but just by adding frenzy/power charge, your average hit is up around 40mil and dps 17mil. With proper configuration, likely much higher and probably reaching the mentioned overflow above. If you want to know the exact number I suggest you configure and look in POB. If you just want to know if the crit damage support is adding DPS, I would suggest it is, because it seems to be putting you into overflow, but you could try what I suggested earlier. Just lower your damage elsewhere for testing so your not reaching overflow. Temporarily remove another support gem or turn off an aura and toggle the crit gem. As other other post are suggesting, there appears to be a cap for hit damage, but it is way beyond your current number, possibly this value of 2Bil. So this looks like a tool tip overflow, that isn't actually capping your in game damage. One of the many reasons people use POB for this kind of analysis.

Just watched empyrians youtube vid on pob warrior project he got to about 400 billion on poe ninja with some extream pob cheese. Would be an interesting vid for you guys to look up if your interested in max dps. I think you can find the vid by searching pob warrior on youtube.
