How to find Tier 17 Maps?

I haven't played in a while so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

But I've run dozens of Tier 16 maps, I have my Atlas spec'd for just map and scarab stuff, and I haven't found a single one.

How exactly do people find these?

Are your voidstones socketed in the middle of the atlas or on the side? They have to be in the middle for T17 to start dropping.

Yeah they are in the middle, and it says there is a 0.4% chance for T16 maps to drop as T17 per void stone, which there is 4.

How is it I've dropped hundreds of maps and none of them are T17

I suppose it's possible it's just the worst luck in the world, but it seems something is wrong....

Maybe you're converting non-favored maps to currency?

Atlas for chance for maps to be 1 tier highier.

I have two voidstones and atlas and i found below 10 t17 maps.

In prev league i found one at the very end of league.

RNG.

I found one, so at this point I'll assume it was just horrible luck. Hopefully I don't have to run 100 maps to just find 1 Tier 17...

set your atlas tree up for map drops specifically is what worked for me, I probably get 1 in every 5 maps or so.

There is definitely rng to it obviously but its common enough that after the first few drops you should be normalised pretty quickly.

My experience has been them dropping from tier 16 maps.

I've been dropping very few T17 maps with my strongbox strategy, until I found the cheap/mid expensive strategy to run T16 and drop Tier 17.

I think it was fubgun's strat. I've been dropping a lot of T17 (a lot means 1 map each T16 or 1 map every 2-3 T16), some lucky double map drops etc. His atlas is maximized for map drops and item quantity, scarabs are cartography scarabs (multitude, risk, conversion etc.) with beyond and maybe delirium. Key is mob density and increased quantity/map quantity.

That is a very good strat for getting T17 maps IF your build can handle it.
