It is insane that this still plagues the game, i cannot progress much into maps because i ALWAYS crash with this error at certain bosses that are required for progression. This has been happening to me since Affliction league. I've since changed all hardware in my PC and it still happens. There has never been so much as a hint of anyone that knows anything about any of this it is all random garbage that people think works for everyone because it magically worked for them and may or may not have even fixed their issue.
It would be nice to get a REAL answer for this issue that make people that want to play it unable to play it at most capacity. |

" I wish I could give you a real solution; however to my own experience it's simply best to start doing some "trial and error" changes and figure out what'll fix it for you. Basically what the Kernelbase.dll crash/error means is that the game crashes due to an interaction with that Windows system file. However the list of reasons is extensive and not the same for everyone. 1. corrupted Windows files (check online how to repair them) 2. Outdated drivers 3. outdated firmware (motherboard/bios) 4. Corrupted RAM (hardware defect, not slotted properly, not enough virtual memory) 5. Direct X or visual C++ error due to missing/corrupt files 6. Overlocking of your GPU, CPU and/or RAM (Path of exile engine doesn't like it) 7. corrupt game files 8. (to many) In game overlays (Steam, Nvidea, Xbox, Discord,...) 9. PSU problems -> GPU, CPU or RAM doesn't get enough power. ... I haven't had any crashes in POE1 thus far in the Phrecia event. However I did change my entire system since Settlers; now POE1 basically is a background process and never really is able to reach overclock speeds; also on a clean Windows 11 install; since also only using the standalone client. Deleted/disabled all possible bloatware like most in game overlays. |
