Dual / Multiboxing

Has anyone tried Dual or Multiboxing? Has GGG ever made a statement about it? I know a lot of people may consider this to be cheating but I'm kind of curious how this game and GGG in general will / currently handles this.
Yup, I run a full 6 man group on my machine for Fellshire runs.

Well I actually cut it down to 4 now, with the changes in the name of happy mediums!
I was thinking of running an aura bitch alongside of my main character. Also having access to a second set of gems from quests will help for starting out.

Anyone who doesn't consider it to be cheating is lying to himself or lacks a conscience.

Fair enough, I've never actually done this but I do like to ponder about a lot of things.

I don't consider it to be anymore cheating than partying up with someone who's slow and terrible and doesn't pick up any loot.
TehHammer is not a crime!
I think it starts to become cheating when people begin to use scripts to control all of the characters at once with a single keyboard/mouse. Before that it's more of a way for people to increase single player difficultly while getting better drops out of the deal.
It's a way to get a party's worth of drops by yourself. I would bet that no one does it while honestly having challenge as their primary motivation. There are plenty of ways to play the game legitimately that increase the amount of challenge.

I'm interested in singleplayer like that. I don't want an aurabot or a party grinding for me, I wanna grind it myself, slowly. I dont mind if fights take alot of time at all.

But I don't know how to do it, maybe it's complicated. Once it's open beta I suppose I can check it out. Given there's no strict rules against it.

Suppose that would be me then.
But it's challenging as it is right now, so that's true, I don't need to do that yet.

Then again, it's alot about wealth too, so I can just roll all those nice items.

But it also increases the difficulty for each player in the group. If someone does the work of 2-6 people by himself, is it so bad that he gets the reward of 2-6 people by himself? While I do agree that people doing this are not in it for the joy of the challenge but in it end it's just more risk for more reward.

Now if GGG were to determine that the scaling of the difficulty does not match up with the scaling of the loot. Then that's something that should be changed in general. Not just for people who have afk'ed characters at the zone start.
