Fetid Pools.. #1 place to visit

Whoah... I went into the Fetid Pools for the first time since the 9.10 patch. Man what a scary place. It has got to be the best atmospheric ambiance I have ever seen in a game. Bravo to the designer of that area.

Play it in the dark with all the lights off and the surround sound turned up high.

Yeah right, i got runover by a pack of rhoas so many times it made kuduku look easy, stay away from the pool kids.

Yeah, those rhoas were a suicide mission. And all I got was a lousy potion.

Wandered in, was met by 3 unique rhoas at the entrance, got planted like a turnip.. :)

After revisiting a few times just to take them out, the necro was a breeze....

I can't wait until every area has the same rich, flavorful detail as the Fetid Pool. The entry/exit is especially beautiful.

first time i went since the patch i found a divine orb and 2 alchemy orbs in 1 instance.. woohoo

This is the only complaint I have with the Fetid Pool. It's a side-area with a quest a careful planner can avoid needing and it's absolutely gorgeous.

It makes every other zone around it look positively banal.

This is something I expect GGG will work on, but still, right now, I wish they'd worked as much on more frequented areas.

(The Warden's Quarter's got some major love too, for example: new visual ambience and music.)

Could you post screenshots? For various reasons I am unable to play the game at the moment.
