Can multiple projectiles from LMP/GMP hit the same enemy?

I know that with Etheral Knives, the answer is no, but with affixes on mobs and gems like LMP and GMP that increase projectiles, I would hope multiple could hit the same enemy.

What is the reasoning for this I wonder?

It seems to go against the "common sense" mentality GGG has shown in the past.

For example your (Was either you, or Chris) example of throwing tooth picks at someone in full plate, then hitting them with a tree. You use this as an argument for why you've coded armor to work the way that it currently does.



But if I shoot 6 arrows with split arrow, point blank range into a bosses face, somehow only 1 of those actually hits?


Seems a bit odd to be picking and choosing when common sense is applicable, no?

Does this mean that the chaos snake in Wharf cannot actually shotgun you? I always avoided getting close to him figuring that he would shotgun me, but that actually makes him a lot less scary, assuming that is an actual attack and not a skill.

I'm guessing that split arrow (for example) would then be much more effective than a single target skill and they want to avoid that.

I agree that it doesn't make any sense though...and I hated that tree/armor comparison, only coz they use the "it makes RL sense" only when it suits them.

I'd like to know that as well.

I pretty much tend to scream like a girl and run very quickly in the opposite direction, but I guess I could tone down my cowardice a wee bit if it actually isn't able to shotgun :D
