Path of Exile Keeps Crashing On My High-End PC
I am having the same problem. Most of starting now in Ancestors league.
The game completely hangs my computer, screen stops, I still hear sound but nothing moves. Also my friends don't hear me in discord. I need to hardboot my computer to get it unlocked from the hang-up. My rig: AMD Ryzen 5800X G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB DDR4 AsRock Taichi X OC RX6800 XT MSI MAG B550 500GB + 1TB + 4TB SSD 850W Power supply Windows 11 Home - all latest updates I've done pretty much everything I can... Installed PoE on all SSDs to test them, still random crashes. Installed latest drivers for my RX 6800XT, still random crashes. I use DDU to clean old drivers Updated BIOS. This only happens on Path of Exile. I've been playing Diablo 4 very much, but no issues there. It seems like only Path of Exile does this. |

" Same here since yesterday. Yesterday the game just crashed very often and not in gameplay but when entering a new area after a boss fight for example. In the middle of the night, they patched with a few MB and this fixed the issue for me. But now I also get hard freezes. The game just stops and it seems that no USB-ports work anymore. My screens are still working fine but my whole PC is frozen for no good reason. I also monitored my hardware temperature and so on but nothing to see there. My specs: i9-11900 32 GB RAM RTX 3060 installed on SSD This is so frustrating. |

Another D4 refugee here with the same problem (running through steam). I played maybe 16 hours two weeks ago with no crashes, then had 3 crashes in about 8 hours today.
The most recent crash was after trying to start a heist, but previous ones were just from running around in a zone. I found the logs\Client.txt file but it doesn't seem to have anything useful. You can see the time gap between the game crashing and me reloading it 5 minutes later. " |

My game started crashing last night, never had issues before now just random freezes and crashes, sometimes needs full reboot, sound also freezes and loops.
Tried a bunch of different settings nothing seemed to work. 3440x1440 Ryzen 5900X 16GB Ram RTX 3080 Windows 11 64bit Standalone client |

Game started locking up, and ending up at my desktop. Sometimes about a handful of times per hour, while other times I play for several hours without it crashing. This problem began maybe a few days/weeks into ancestors league? Not sure on the precise time but yea...

I have a similar Issue, but i tracked it down a bit more, maybe it helps.
First of all my system: Ryzen 5900x AMD 6900xt MSI 570 Unify 32GB Corsair CMW32GX Corsair MP600 Pro XT SSD 2TB I tried all 3 available graphics modes, vulkan, DX11+12. The Issue happens on all of them since the last 2 patches: I play the tournament in halls of the dead, starting with about 150-200 fps. The more i play, the more FPS drop in there, and when it gets to 40 or below, the game most likely closes without error msg or logfile entry. This was very annoying, lost a lot of valuable rewards from these crashes, but i figured out a bandaid fix, not a very good one, but "fixed" it nonetheless.. Once i see my fps dropping below 60, i finish my current round and go to my hideout. FPS immediately resets to 150-200 and i travel to halls of the dead again, where it starts with this fps but then drops again from round to round. I hope GGG is aware of this problem and starts on a real fix for it. Best regards, grav0r |

Im experiencing the same thing on my high-end PC, just bumping and hoping GGG to see this. Please fix it! It's annoying when you die att the ladder at the end of a heist and lose everything.

Holy hell i thought i was the only one with this annoying thing. Same problem like you all described. WOW !
For me it was when i start the map. the game crashes to desktop or it freezes when i run into the first pack of mobs. sometimes it doesn't crush but it freezing and give me a blue screen with the error : clock watchdog timeout i thought it was something wrong with my hardware so i send the pc to the lab to check if something wrong. now when i play from my second pc ( which is very old ) i don't get freezing and blue screens but the game crushing to desktop around once per hour. My highend pc spec : RTX 4080 13700 intel 32GB Ram |

Thought I'd mention what seemed to have resolved this issue for me. I was randomly freezing to desktop like others here have. I just changed the following:
-vsync from off to adaptive -dx11 to dx12(beta) triple-buffering from off to enabled Have been going strong now for about ~7 hours no disconnect, hope this helps others! IGN: Bowflekx/HiFiveX
