Upcoming patch schedule and Open Beta date estimate
Chris: thanks for dispelling my fears/doubts. Forgot to say that the rest of the changes are awesome, especially the swappable weapons and MORE SKILL GEMS (yummy). And, most importantly: stability fixes, as I have had some terrible crash-fests when playing with my friends. Up to 6 times / hour ::- D, all 3 of us dropping out of the game with a client crash. But we endured like the fans that we are ;;- ).
My article promoting PoE: http://www.axonnsays.com/2013/01/you-are-invited-to-the-path-of-exile-open-beta Running PoE on an Intel i5 2500K, Radeon 7950 OC, SSD Vertex 3 MI, 8 GB RAM. I'm also a Software Engineer and Indie Game Developer ::- ). Go Go GGG!!! Last edited by Kyliathy on Jun 1, 2012, 8:29:22 AM

wow~ This is good news! Willing to wait for the new contents! The screenshot seems interesting too.
When the boss-like BIG bug appears in the screenshot, I can imagine that it may give players some new challenges. However, it also reminds me something disgusting. Just one question: Will there be any cockroach-like enemy in the game (soon or later)? I am afraid if there are a BIG cxxkxxxxh as the boss in act three or little cxxkxxxxh as an enemies spread in an Act. Really don't want to face the cxxxxxxxh like Fallout 3 in the vault. Thanks for any reply. Last edited by hunterrx on Jun 1, 2012, 8:45:12 AM

YES!!! So many great updates! PVP! ACT2 BOSS! Better Minions (finally)... really looking forward to every single one of those updates!

"We expect that Path of Exile will enter Open Beta in mid-August. At that point our final character wipe will occur and the game will be permanently available for everyone to play."
This does really mean that characters from the open beta will remain and will NOT be deleted after the full release? |
|
" That's right. | |
Yes. Arguably Open Beta is just a soft release (what's the difference?).

Awesome job guys, take your time and make sure its a game that you are proud to release. Everything is looking really sexy!
What's good is often forgotten, what's bad is often hidden.

Very sweet. Sounds like a great time for me to get in on the closed beta. I don't think I will be able to resist this weekend. ;-)

Man, I hope that big enemy's death animation from the screenshot is as awesome as its general design. I wanna see body fluids squirting into all directions when cracking that carapace.

nooooooooo, same release window as Dark Souls PC :(
At least it's in in the summer holidays, and a good month before the next semester starts and exams are due. Well, nothing that can be done about that :) Good luck for that tight work schedule until then!! |
