There's a minor technical bug in the first post: I have reason to believe that inhabitation mods do not affect *any* signature monsters that spawn in a method that does not immediately factor into /remaining from your point of entry to the map. As in, statues are not the only things unaffected.
For example, if you have spiders that can crawl up from ledges (this can happen with "0 monsters remaining"), or if you have human bandits coming out of tents (this one has been empirically tested to work with inhabitation mods, and I believe can also happen with "0 monsters remaining"). I've only tested the latter of these two, but seeing as it is a map-triggered event that newly spawns monsters after map entry (like the statue trigger), I don't see why the former would be different from statues, either. |

" Would be cool. With strongboxes added to Standard I'd expect map rolling standards to move at least somewhat closer to the style used in Ambush. (perhaps not the lvl78 free for all map extravaganza where a 78 costs 12 chaos orbs, but certainly looser than it has been in the past) +1 Shavs Project -----> /1075009

Good point on the inhabits. I've noted this as well.

RNG is RNG but I'm getting really frustrated with map drops. I guess I'm the unluckiest guy there is... Just did 125%Q 72 map which resulted in two 67's and a 100%Q 71 map which resulted in one 66 map.. What the actual fuck!!! And it's always like this... dry runs or lower level(and not -1 -2...) maps. I spent a lot of currency on my maps but no luck.. always the same. Don't know what I'm doing wrong, I wish someone could help me out because I love this game and I'm thinking of quitting because of this bullshit cycle :|
I run a lot of lower maps too, I build up around 10 70+ maps and start running them but to no avail. I group with my guildies time to time and it's the same when I host. When I give the map to a friend to open the portal; first pack drops a map of same level or higher lol Just wanted to say how frustrating it is to sustain maps. They made crafting easier, why not make mapping a bit easier too? Like -3 is the max that can drop. At least not getting a f*ckin' 66 from a 71 map would keep me motivated a bit. " You just need a lot of maps. Or you can do what I did - buy in at the 72-73 level and build up from there. I built up from a pool of about 30 72/73 maps to what is currently about 40 76-78 maps (and tons of 75 and below). It's normal to go several maps with junk or no drops, regardless of your rolls. If your map pool can't take a hit of ~10 maps with no drops, you're going to eventually run out of whatever tier you are in. At least, that's my experience. But if you run ~100%+ IIQ with some sort of pack improving mod (rares/magic/pack size), in the long run you will build up your map pool with consistency. You just have to think of consistency over dozens or even hundreds of maps, not a small handful. The 352nd character to hit Level 100 in Standard

" Please do so. =) It helps a lot and I would have continued doing mistakes (wasting alch orbs n 66). |

Looking forward to the rework!

" Yeah will probably be removing the rolling portion. Maps these days can be run in almost any form and still be sustained. I personally just do blue maps all the way and I don't have issues. |
|
But blue maps are boring...it's the rippy maps where all the fun is. (Disclaimer: I'd do the boring maps in HC, too.)
