What Happened with Items
Leave Chris alone guys... keep the feedback coming in a proper and respectful manner but damn... ya'll are being kind of harsh and unreasonable in some aspects.
I don't like nerfs either, especially minion nerfs, but try to have some level headed discussions rather than throwing dirt and rocks. I don't wanna see the staff demoralized and hate the job they go to. |

" That doesn't mean the state of juicing maps, even at a more reasonable level like singular scarabs/deli orbs is in a good place. People will always find ways to exploit the tools they are given to get the most from them. The high-end is not a health meter that indicates what the majority of players are experiencing. It sounds like the best way to make currency is to run off in 6 different directions and find god touched monsters to MF cull, this isn't a fun way to earn loot. " If they were like this at launch, they would still need a lot of work. Reward balance is completely out of whack and there is very little freedom in what you can do to earn more rewards. Where they can handle it? No one knows because monster difficulty is a dice roll. Maybe the T16 is fine, everything rolled irrelevant mods and was easy. Maybe the T1 mob has two physical rolls and the map mods push it over the top. There is no consistency. What the heck is this Just one minor example of where mobs get out of line for the level of content they are in. My gear at the time was rather good, I had been doing the league content throughout the campaign and was over leveled and geared. I had good defenses up, my flasks were pre-popped, didn't even have a chance to hit molten shell. It was 100 to 0 in 200ms to a mob that existed on my screen for exactly 1 second. In a zone where every other encounter was a breeze. This is happening at every stage of the game, things are easy until they are not, there is no difficulty progression anymore. It makes character progression feel meaningless when you're just fighting a dice roll and have little control over what kind of encounters you will face. Some variance is okay, but not this. " No supporter pack , joined 2018. Maybe you should give more credit to the people who supported the game and for longer. Maybe. Last edited by Anakro#1803 on Aug 26, 2022, 1:10:09 AM

Sorry but this is where I check out. I don't know what your spreadsheets are telling you, but I can only go based on the 50+ hours I have put into the game this past week.
This is the first time in years that I've had to purchase red maps to just to progress my atlas. My chaos per hour is less than half my lowest first week total from any of the previous 5 leagues. It's at the point where I honestly considered running chaos recipe in red maps. I can't say that I'm having fun with the game these past two leagues and the changes certainly don't seem like it's going to change directions, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see if you finally come to your senses in some future league before I reinstall. 2,900 hours. Edit: I actually agree with the idea behind the loot changes. If you weren't running the beyond+Alva+Deli juice you were so far behind those who did that it made no sense to run the other mechanics. But the rest of the content wasn't elevated to a place where it feels even remotely worth the massive difficulty increase from adding Archnem to existing league mechanics. The game already had huge difference between solo and party play and now you are telling us that parties drop multiple mirrors per day? Thanks, but no! The game state is horrible. It's hortible when 1 mob drops 60 flasks. It is horrible when someone faces inn.touched mobs and gets 5 divines and I ran out of alcs and can't enchant any red map. Shortly, no honey, no money. No loot revert, no further supporting from players.

Ignore the screeching children, especially the ones calling you names. Love the direction of the game, hate the bumpiness on the way there. But I don't think it is avoidable, and sometimes shit happens. While this league will never be popular and may well be the worst of all time, I know you can turn it around.

Everything you said looks nice, in paper.
In reality juicing is dead, crafting is dead and the game economy is dead. It doesnt take too much to figure it out. From what I read none of the changes worked as intended, so why keep pushing? Noobs dont like AN because they think its too hard. Veterans dont like the complete gut of endgame juicing and crafting you did. So your changes did not please 99% of the community, and every "fix" you did didnt made any difference, to the point people are already skeptical before even testing. Also, you havent even adressed killing the crafting system, so for my understanding crafting will be like this for now on? A complete braindead lottery? The thing that for me was the biggest differential PoE had, now you turning it into basically like any Asian MMO, click with % chance with no skill and thinking involved whatsoever. Honestly at this point all PoE needs to be equal with all the disgusting options we have out there is a p2w store in game. GJ Last edited by banxKING#2116 on Aug 26, 2022, 1:11:18 AM

It's very nice to understand why things happened the way they did. Thank you for levelling with us and taking the time to explain this.
The problems are still far from over at this point. Loot is still scarcer even if the numbers are supposed to match up. ArchNem is still a flawed system. The changes the the game needs, i.e. a higher ratio for bubblegum currency to drop from normal white mobs, i.e. huge difficulty spikes in regular gameplay due to the insane variance in difficulty of ArchNem rares and the pure decimation of deterministic crafting. This post was nice to read and I can accept everything that happened. Y'all human too and humans make mistakes, and I am sincerely impressed that you've owned up to it as well. I've made the mistake of buying into the idea of malicious intent, though I hope that has not blended too much into what I have said publicly. If so, then I apologise right back! |
