Nerfing Defensive Archnemesis Modifiers

Any chance that harvest and this insane loot changes gonna be addressed before the weekend? Or we have to rely on heist, expedition, white maps essence etc and the core ARPG gameplay meaning killing bunch of monsters is dead as there is no point in juicing our maps any more? If you wanted you could nerf party play, you have tools for that but solo juicing was never a problem, it was still less profitable than infinite heisting or running logbooks, now it's straight loss. I mean why?
I mean I have no doubt you'll get it right eventually Chris, but there has to be something done against consistently lowballing the leaguestarts.

I know it's problematic to have something completely broken at leaguestart because nerfing midleague is going to cause backlash. But also when you overtune and underreward consistently all those sorry's start to lose value.

The most dedicated players you always say you want to consider, are the ones that take off a whole weekend if not a full week to do leaguestart. If the game doesn't function properly in that timewindow that is devastating to both their leaguestart and their morale for the rest of the league. People only get so many days off and to spend it on a videogame instead of a proper holiday is a big ask, yet they do it. But when they do and have to do it again next month when the fix comes out and again when the next league comes out and then again when the fix comes out. People will stop giving that kind of dedication because that vacation is going to be much better use off that time at that rate.

Please stop dabbling to "improve" this abysmal patch. Revert to a stable version of this game please.


Correct me, if I am wrong: For almost all played character concepts there is a combination of AN modifiers and of a base mob type which either/and
a) is one- or two-shotting the character;
b) is super tedious to fight;
c) negates the specialisation a player makes.

This means, playing the game has a non-zero probability of getting killed without making a game mistake. This is obviously bad design.

This means, I waste my time in fighting rares which outclass so called pinnacle bosses in endurance.

This means, my character's specialisation is not worth it, if there is an AN modifier counter to it, e. g. flasks for pathfinder. I get punished for playing it. Why? Isn't she nerfed enough by letting her take 6.3% more elemental damage now?


Before I am able to read the AN modifiers of mobs, and have a chance to realise, they are a death sentence when engaging, I am already dead, because they attack me, before I can see them or are too fast.

Visual clarity of this game is not there, the difficulty must take this into account.


Modifiers such as Malediction "Nearby Enemies have Oppression [...], take 30% increased Damage and [...]" cannot be balanced properly, because balancing them means, that everything else becomes too easy. And this is only ONE modifier, Malediction can of course be embedded into a nice 3 other AN modifier rare to put the cherry on top of the cake.


The Beta of this game ended 2013. The rediculous numerical changes I have seen in this patch (e. g. 50.000 -> 5,000; No longer has 60% less Damage taken if you have not been Hit Recently, No longer has 200% increased Evasion Rating if you have been Hit Recently; ...) evidences that this concept was not ready for release. This is not professional.

I took time off to play the new patch and I am getting sick of this deterioration of the game compared to its state in something like Ritual League, Heist League, Harvest Leage, Legion League, Ultimatum League or even Archnemesis League (the mana nerfs in Expedition were already unfun af, a completely unnecessary hindering of the player without any reason).


I honestly prefer streamer priority in an environment of unstable servers over this core gameplay changes you do since a while for a worse and worse core game.

I am sorry for the devs who did great work in e. g. the atlas passives system. But some of your people did a tremendously bad job here. And your testing is not sufficient.

Or you do this on purpose, which is disrespectful and not worth continuing the player/developer partnership where players spend money on MTX and stuff to support the devs improving a fun game.


I am no longer willing to spend money on this game.

What you present to me is no longer worth spending my time, because it is UNFUN.


The unanounced changes are on top infuriating. I could have spent my week since Friday better than with fighting overpowered mobs dropping a garbage can full of rares nobody wants to identify polluting my screen, but nothing reasonable to improve my character. Loot changes must have been part of the patch notes. It cannot be overstated.

Looting feels now like delving but with only finding "Hidden Armaments" containers behind fractured walls...


Btw: If I want to grind 20 days to get the item I need for opening the game to be fun to me, I can continue to play D2R with a nova sorc struggling for Infinity...
You won't win by pandering to crybabies, they will still whine until game is turned into glorified shiny pixels dispenser. These changes just go back to reinforcing glass cannon zoom-zoom meta. If there is a thing to nerf that is damage of certain mobs and mechanics that blow you up if you stand still for more than split second.
Well, one step forward, two steps back, I guess.
This is exactly what I predicted would happen... Slight nerfs to AN that don't address the actual issues. It's the damage of AN mobs that is the problem not their defense.
