Nerfing Defensive Archnemesis Modifiers
“Tomorrow we will post an explanation of what our intentions were with the balance changes in this expansion and what went wrong with our process. We're sorry for the delay on this, it has been a bit of a week.”
Oh it’s been a rough week? You’re telling us… What went wrong is that you hid a big change from us. |

Revert loot changes. Fix Crafting. Imo archnemesis wouldn't even be THAT bad if you could atleast get good gear. Good gear you get by loot drops and crafting.... |

Okay, thanks for making an effort but you are going about it the wrong way.
Instead of just lowering the base effects of each mod, you should be applying diminishing returns on multiple similar effects stacking. This way you keep the strength of individual mods, while more effectively balancing the absurd scaling of stacking several mods with similar effects. Also, please re-add the Harvest crafts ripped from this league. Your intention in the reveal was that you weren't nerfing and only removing "filler" or "fluff" crafts. However this is not the case, as many crafts removed were useful, from jewel implicits to rerolling prefix/suffix. If your intention really was not to nerf, then please revert the removal of the crafts, and if you still feel the need to remove "fluff", then please take the rest of the league to review statistics of the least used crafts among unique player IDs. Note, not just the numbers of times a craft is used, as this is not a valid indicator of "usefulness". For example, jewel implicit crafts are extremely valuable for rounding out certain bonus stats like ailment or stun avoidance, but may not be used in total as frequently as other crafts due to the nature that you don't need to consistently reroll jewel implicits all league. Thanks, hope you continue to adjust the game to be more in line with the expectations that you set prior to launch. Last edited by Verdale#4745 on Aug 25, 2022, 1:40:00 AM

" So because someone didn't react positively to the changes because they actually understand math means they aren't interested? When you get your wish and people really do move on and become apathetic, you'll be crying that GGG let the game die. Tencentorship Last edited by jrv209#2500 on Aug 25, 2022, 1:39:45 AM

So does ggg just think they are done tweaking the loot now after the most recent so called "Buffs" to the loot 😆

This is a good change. Resists change is quite impactful.

" The whole game is headed that way... I've been playing since open beta. From Race events, to timed content, the game has always been about DPS -- kill as much stuff as quickly as possible. Balance defense and offense. Be ready for all the mechanics that can be thrown at you. There are chase items and chase mods. Some you can grind for and some are RNG. But you can grind the currency to buy them form other luckier players. This league and the last few have been huge disappointments. I agree that when every streamer starts using the word "abuse" to describe a mechanic, that mechanic is probably OP to too exploitable and should be changed. But nerfing skills, flasks, mana, speed, crafting ...everything the game has literally encouraged us to use... to make the game harder? That's such a betrayal. I'm so sick of this game becoming harder and more bloated over time. Each time I think I finally can craft something nice, or afford to buy someone else's great item, something changes and that 70 exalt item I just bought is now not going to cut it. I play standard precisely because it takes me longer than a league to really ramp up a character to endgame farming. Some of us casual players have jobs and families and shit, too, you know. Harvest was my favorite league because for once, good gear was farmable and deterministic enough for a solo player or casual player to make an endgame tier build. There was still a lot of RNG and risk for the top tier players who min-max everything to still require multiple tries at perfect rolls. Ever since Harvest, I've been half-heartedly signing into Standard to do a few dailies, but my passion and creative spark for testing and trying new builds and interesting mechanics has gone. It's really sad to see the game I've invested the most time and money on lose touch with its players. I feel bait-and-switched this league and the few leagues previous. |
